All Elden Ring Nightreign Bosses

At the heart of any FromSoftware souls-like game are the fearsome bosses, and Elden Ring Nightreign is no exception. While the gameplay formula veers more towards a roguelite as opposed to a single-player action-RPG, the game uses many of the bosses seen in Elden Ring, while also introducing new enemies. Players who’ve kept up with the game’s pre-release teasers will know that Nightreign even features a small selection of iconic bosses from the Dark Souls franchise. On that note, check out the full list of all Elden Ring Nightreign bosses below.

The list above includes Night bosses, Field bosses, Remembrances bosses, and Evergaol enemies. For starters, Night bosses are powerful enemies that spawn at the end of the first two nights. These bosses are the curtain closer to the first two parts of Elden Ring Nightreign’s three-day gameplay cycle.

They also function as a barometer to measure your character’s strength against. The dangerous Night Tide that gradually devours the map over day one and day two effectively pushes you toward these enemies.

Field bosses, such as the Magma Wyrm, Battlemages, or the Oracle Envoys, can be found while exploring during the first two days. They’re considerably weaker than Night bosses, but still formidable opponents nevertheless.

Evergaols were a recurring location type in Elden Ring, functioning as eternal prisons that housed dangerous enemies inside. They operate similarly in Nightreign, barring two major differences. For starters, their locations are no longer fixed, and instead, they’re randomly generated on the Limveld map. Besides this, you’ll now need a Stonesword Key to unlock Evergoals, meaning the consumable item is necessary to access these boss fights.

As you complete expeditions, you’ll receive HUD notifications stating that the Earth has shifted. These notifications highlight the start of Shifting Earth events, which are temporary situations that alter the terrain of Limveld. Every event has its own theme and unique boss fight. For instance, the Mountaintop event will see your squad face off against the Ice Dragon, while the Eternal City features Astel, the mysterious insectoid last seen in Elden Ring.

Lastly, Remembrance bosses are tied to the individual chapter stories of the eight character classes. You can find out more about them in the dedicated guide right here.

The ultimate baddies of each expedition, these creatures are a manifestation of the night and are easily the most difficult enemies in the game. They come with varied movesets, offering up a complex combination of slams, sweeps, stabs, and stomps alongside an arsenal of elemental and gravitational magic. Due to their challenge level, we recommend facing them with two other Nighfarers, but you always have the option to test your mettle in a solo encounter.

The eight Nightlord bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign are:

  • Gladius, Beast of Night
  • Adel, Baron of Night
  • Gnoster, Wisdom of Night
  • Maris, Fathom of Night
  • Libra, Creature of Night
  • Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow
  • Caligo, Miasma of Night
  • The Shape of Night/Heolstor the Nightlord (Final Boss)

That wraps up our guide on all the bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign. Which is the most difficult boss you’ve faced in the game so far? Let us know in the comments below.
