Lately, i have been reading a lot about start-ups, Entrepreneurs, success stories and how social media can help you in becoming a successful Entrepreneur?
To be honest, every post i read till date have the same old thing embedded in different words, Here’s what they say in around 500+ words post which can be easily summed up in less than 100 words,
1. Build a network on social media sites Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc. which gives you social media exposure which is beneficial for company’s reputation and success.
2. Interaction is very important with your followers as this will help you in understanding who are the people using your product or services, which gives an idea about who will get interested and you can have a better targeting.
3. Have a blog, post there about products or service you offer, exciting offers (if any), new features, announcements, surveys etc.
But, Expression of people after reading these kind of posts, “ WTH, I already know that”.
Now a days, people know what to do when it comes to social media promotion but they don’t know how to do it, if you really want to solve the problem, tell them how to do it. I am going to do that only.
From my personal experience i found out that, it needs energy, time and most importantly patience for getting followers on your social media profiles, you have to be regular in your efforts as well as creative and interesting.
I remember someone asked on Quora How to get more followers on Twitter ?, the best answer was, “become someone worth following“, which is so darn true.
You can also use paid promotion if you are confident about your product or service, but one thing that matters here is that Even If you have enough budget for social media marketing, you have to spend it carefully because it is very easy to lose money in advertisements like Facebook ads and Google adwords, if they are not properly targeted.
Sometime people think that social media is a matter of luck, some things go viral on internet and no one knows why, i call it “Suck” ie Social media Luck, i don’t believe in that coz virality is for one time only, it may happen that your product go viral and people start using it but remember that they are going to stay if and only if they find it interesting and useful, otherwise they gonna bounce back.
Build relationships with people of similar interest on websites like Quora and Twitter, which gives you opportunity to directly interact with people.
These are few things that you can do to increase your influence and klout score. Best luck.
