The second week of Christmas Update has started in 99 Nights in the Forest, and we are getting a new event. Santa’s Workshop has progressed quite a bit, and the elves have settled in the Forest to continue their work. However, the deer, as expected, is a menace and is attacking the elves again. The elves have stopped their decorations and lost their Christmas Lights. Now it’s on you to find the lights and help the elves. In this guide, you’ll learn how to find Christmas Lights in 99 Nights in the Forest and decorate Christmas Trees using them.
How to Get Christmas Lights in 99 Nights in the Forest
The new 99 Nights in the Forest update has added Christmas Lights in the game, and finding them is easier than you’d think. Christmas Lights can be found wrapped around trees and entities, like wolves.

Noticing the Christmas Lights is very easy in the white, snowy forest. You just need to keep your eyes wide open and look around the forest. You’ll find plenty of trees, with snow on them, and Christmas Lights wrapped around. Use your axe to chop the trees down, like you’d normally. Doing so will drop three pieces of wood, along with a Christmas Light.
Similarly, the wolves in 99 Nights in the Forest will be wrapped with Christmas Lights. Hunting and killing them will give you meat and Christmas Lights. However, killing wolves might feel like a lot of work, and you might need to carry bandages and to revive teammates; if things go south, especially for new players. So, we recommend that you stick to chopping trees.
How to Decorate Christmas Trees in 99 Nights in the Forest
Now that you have some Christmas Lights, it’s time to decorate the Christmas Trees. But you cannot just decorate any Christmas Tree in the game. Rather, you need to decorate the ones that are inside the North Pole Biome.

The North Pole Biome is located on the north side of the camp. You can easily locate and even access it from the map. Santa’s Workshop is located in the North Pole Biome, along with some Gingerbread houses, a giant spinning pole, and a lot of Christmas trees. You’ll find Christmas Trees with and without snow in the North Pole Biome. The trees without snow are the ones you need to decorate using Christmas Lights.
To decorate a Christmas Tree, head towards it and hold ‘E.’ Your goal is to decorate 12 Christmas Trees in the North Pole Biome to complete the event. This will also activate all the lights in the area, and the elves can peacefully start working on Santa’s workshop again. You’ll even notice a cutscene, which we won’t spoil as it’s something enjoyable.
All Rewards for Decorating 99 Nights in the Forest Christmas Trees

Honestly, there aren’t many rewards that you can get for decorating Christmas Trees. You can only get Candy Canes by decorating each Christmas Trees.
The Candy Canes you get can be used to buy items and 99 Nights in the Forest classes from the Christmas Elf Shop. Each tree gives three to four Candy Canes when decorated. You’ll have to decorate at least 12 trees, as discussed. This will result in a total of 36 to 48 Candy Canes per run. You can even decorate a few more if you want some extra canes, as they’ll come in handy to buy items from the shop.
