Sinners and 28 Years Later are the most recent horror releases that had fans mesmerized by the beauty of storytelling and cinematography. 28 Years Later was made with a budget of $60 million, which it has already earned in its first week. So, let’s hope that it reaches the level of Sinners and creates history. Additionally, as the first film in the new trilogy of the 28 Days Later franchise, its success at the box office would ultimately pave the way for the subsequent films.

Now, here comes another horror movie from a long-running franchise that has been continuously freaking out every fan for years. Final Destination: Bloodlines served as a sort of reimagination of the franchise, released in May 2025. It was filmed with a budget of $50 million and went on to become a commercial success, earning $280 million at the box office. It grossed $51.6 million in its first weekend, that is already been surpassed by 28 Years Later with earnings of $60 million. So, it’s sort of expected that the latter will surpass the overall earnings of Final Destination: Bloodlines.
