Best Early Game Pickaxe in The Forge

There are a couple of early game pickaxes that can be a good pick, but not all are as efficient as the one we picked. Here is the best pickaxe you must use in The Forge as soon as you start the game:

Stonewake’s Pickaxe

StoneWakePick

During the tutorial, you must get the Iron Pickaxe, which is perfect for completing a couple of Sensei Moro’s quests. From the quest money, get the Stonewake’s Pickaxe. This early game pickaxe costs $3333, and is located near the entrance of the Stonewake’s Cross cave. While the mining speed is negative on this, it has enough firepower to destroy the early rocks or boulders in seconds.

However, the main reason we recommend this first is that it will allow you to farm in the Forgotten Kingdom’s Ruined Cave. That will allow you to find legendary items before even getting a mid-game pickaxe.

Best Mid Game Pickaxe in The Forge

As you farm with the Stonewake’s Pickaxe for a while, you will get enough weapons in The Forge to enter the deeper caves. To farm the Basalt Veins to complete quests and find even rarer ores, you will need a mid-game progression pickaxe in The Forge. However, breaking the Volcanic Rock is important to get Demoite, Darkryte, and more high-rarity items that forge the best weapons and armors in the game. That is why you must jump from Mythril to Arcane or Demonic Pickaxe fast.

Mythril Pickaxe

Mythril Pickaxe The Forge

Mythril Pickaxe is the first pickaxe that lets you break Basalt Veins. It also comes with a 55% luck boost, which is perfect for farming ores in The Forge. To get one, go to Miner Fred’s Shop in the Forgotten Kingdom and spend $67,500. If you are stuck with low money, you can use The Forge codes to get some totems and purchase some potions to farm fast.

Arcane Pickaxe

Arcane Pickaxe

The Arcane Pickaxe is one of the best pickaxes in The Forge in all terms. Along with the 50% luck boost, it also improves mining power. Moreover, you get three rune slots that improve your farming efficiency.

While you can upgrade weapons and armors, there is no pickaxe upgrade option. That is why pickaxes with three rune slots are perfect for the late game. You can get the Arcane Pickaxe after getting the Unknown Key from Bard and unlocking the gate in the Stonewake’s Cave.

Aqua Pickaxe

Aqua Pickaxe

The Aqua Pickaxe will be the one you’ll get as soon as you step on Island 3. This pickaxe has a 200 base mining power, which is a much better option than the Demonic Pickaxe with 175 mining power. This one really packs a punch. While the rune slot is two, it is compensated with a higher mining power and more luck (a total of 52%). You can even reroll races in The Forge and get the classes that suit your mining needs. This is one of those pickaxes that you must get to progress in Island 3 and its’ Sensei Moro’ quests.

Snow Pickaxe

Snow Pickaxe

After Aqua Pickaxe, your next goal should be getting the Snow Pickaxe. This one is also a must-get to progress in the Sensei Moro questline. There are multiple types of rocks and crystals in this area, and if you get other pickaxes, you will regret getting them. That is why Snow Pickaxe is the best choice for mid-game. With a 320 base mining power and a 58% luck boost, the Snow Pickaxe will get you all the ores from the snowy mountain caves.

Best Late Game Pickaxe in The Forge

While the Aqua Pickaxe and Snow Pickaxe are good enough to farm rocks in the Spider Cave and Crystals inside the Peak, you need to upgrade them when you reach the late game. With the following options, you’ll be able to break almost any rock in Island 3 in The Forge. Here are the three best end-game pickaxe picks in The Forge:

Void Pickaxe

Void Pickaxe

Void Pickaxe will be the first choice of pickaxe for the late game. That’s because it has a very high mining power of 550 and a 68% luck boost. With these stats, you can easily farm all the Crystals in the Peak and the Raven Cave. Both locations have some of the best ore drops in the game.

However, the fun part is that the Void Pickaxe can also be used to break the iceberg and obtain the Prismatic Pickaxe. While you can break the iceberg with Frost Pickaxe, the Void Pickaxe has much better stats and will make ore farming and money-making a lot easier.

Prismatic Pickaxe

Prismatic Pickaxe

Prismatic Pickaxe is the second-best mining tool in The Forge for the third island. It comes with a massive 650 mining power, capable of breaking even the rarest rocks that require 550 power. Moreover, it is the first pickaxe in the game with 4 rune slots.

You can get the pickaxe from the underwater chamber under the frozen lake. To get it, you must break a fossil that requires a pickaxe with 300 power. Once you clear it, purchase the Prismatic Pickaxe by spending $2,000,000.

Heavenly Pickaxe

Angelite Pickaxe The Forge

Heavenly Pickaxe is the best pickaxe in the game right now. With four rune slots, 725 mine power, and 85% luck boost, it rules above every pickaxe. While the Dragon Head Pickaxe has higher base mining power, it lacks when it comes to luck. With these stats, it can mine effortlessly.

But obtaining it can be very difficult. The Heavenly Pickaxe can be bought for $2.4 million gold inside the Iceberg Island hidden maze angel room in The Forge. After completing the maze, you can talk to one of the angels and take the Angelic Quests. These quests are all about completing certain tasks that require killing enemies or farming ores. After finishing it, the Heavenly Pickaxe will be available for you to buy.

How do I know when to upgrade my pickaxe in The Forge?

You should upgrade the moment your current pickaxe struggles to break new ore types. If you cannot mine Basalt Veins or Volcanic Rock, that is your cue to move up to the next tier.

Do pickaxe rune slots matter in the late game?

Rune slots make a huge difference once you reach the Arcane and Demonic tiers. They boost mining power and luck, so you get rare ores faster, which speeds up every late-game grind.
