Facebook is hiring via an online Programming Challenge in which you have to write a code for the problem given and if you get through this hurdle than you’ll get a phone interview.
Facebook, “Our employees build and create technology that fundamentally changes how hundreds of millions of people around the world connect and share. Come work with us.”
How does this work?
Take the timed challenge. If your code passes the test, you will be contacted for a telephone interview. If your code is too similar to another applicant, you will both be disqualified, so please don’t share or post your answers online
Facebook Programming Challenge
- Once you hit submit we will present you with a timed programming question that you must complete as quickly as possible in one of the following languages – C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP.
- Tests typically take 1 to 2 hours. Please make sure you have the time free before starting.
- You must answer the question correctly in the time given. Defensive coding to deal with malformed input is not required, so please focus on just solving the problem as quickly as possible.
- If you want to get a feel for how the system works before starting the timer, please try our sample question: http://bit.ly/oUHI4G
These are for various positions in our Software Engineering department. You can check them all out here.
