Honkai Star Rail 3.0 will feature a whopping 8-character banners in the entire version. This includes two new 5-star characters — The Herta and Aglaea, and six rerun 5-star characters — Feixiao, Lingsha, Jade, Boothill, Robin, and Silver Wolf. This means players have a big choice ahead of them and very limited Stellar Jades. Although all the characters featured in the HSR 3.0 banners are extremely good in their own right, some are simply better and have more use cases. To help you out, here is what I think should be the pull priority in Honkai Star Rail 3.0 banners.
1. Lingsha
Lingsha is currently the best Sustain in the game, closely tied with Huohuo. She is extremely useful, has a ton of AoE heals, and can deal a fair amount of damage, while also increasing the break damage taken by enemies. In other words, Lingsha is a complete package as a sustain and can slot into any team you have. She can constantly AoE heal allies while attacking, and you can use her Ultimate or have her passive trigger to heal allies when Lingsha doesn’t have a turn. Overall, I think she is a good mix of Huohuo and Luocha and has a ton of use in most teams. If you lack a good sustain, then Lingsha should be the first priority for you in Honkai Star Rail 3.0 banners.
2. Robin
Robin is one of the best support units in the game and her Ultimate makes it extremely easy for players to win fights. A complete team action-forwarding ability is simply too strong to ignore, but adding the physical damage she deals with each of the allies’ attacks when she is in her Ultimate state makes it an extremely powerful ability. Robin’s skill also gives a flat damage output increase to allies for 3 turns, basically keeping it for the entire fight if you have a strong enough team. Her Talent also increases the Crit Damage % of allies and she is a very Skill point positive character. If you lack good support or have a Follow-up attack team, it’s best to wait for Robin till phase 2 of 3.0 banners.
3. Feixiao
Feixiao is currently on par with Acheron in terms of damage output and is the strongest single target damage dealer in the game. Her unorthodox ultimate recharge ability makes her extremely good in FUA teams, allowing her to get her Ultimate very frequently. She also deals a ton of damage and her Ultimate ignores enemy toughness type when dealing damage. She is a great DPS option and is also very F2P friendly when it comes to team compositions.
4. The Herta
The Herta is the strongest Erudition character introduced in the game and she can absolutely melt enemies with the correct build. However, The Herta requires very specific teams to match the damage output, or surpass it, of other top DPS units. She always needs an Erudition character in the team, but with only Jade being a support type Erudition character in the game so far, her choices become very limited. Also, she is still very lackluster against single target enemies but excels in 5 target scenarios. Overall, I still feel that there is very little option for The Herta to make her one of the strongest choices to pull in the 3.0 banners.
5. Aglaea
Aglaea will feature in the 2nd phase of HSR 3.0 and she is going to be the first DPS character from the Remembrance path. Her kit is very interesting, ramping up her speed with each attack, making her take multiple turns in one round if you can properly build her. Her damage also looks pretty solid, however, the Remembrance path is still too early to be considered good in the game, so I suggest you wait out a few updates before pulling for her. With Tribbie confirmed to be a Harmony unit in HSR 3.1, she might become a dedicated support for Aglaea, but that’s still not something we can be sure of at the moment. So, I rank her pretty low in the HSR 3.0 pull order.
6. Jade
Jade is a really good unit, especially if you are lacking someone to dominate Pure Fiction. She is also the best pair for The Herta, making her a must-pull if you are planning to get The Herta in the game. But other than that, Jade has very low use cases in the game, lacking damage output and supporting capabilities. She is only good in Erudition teams, which are also considered the weakest path in the game currently.
7. Boothill
Boothill is a very strong single-target Break DPS and he can deal some insane damage output in very specific scenarios. However, you need at least Ruan Mei or Fugue on the team to make Boothill a strong enough DPS dealer. He is also a bit trickier to play and there are simply stronger DPS units in the game that you can get over him. With Feixiao available in the banners, Boothill should be an afterthought if you are looking for a DPS unit.
8. Silver Wolf
At the very bottom of the list is the lovable hacker from the Stellaron Hunters — Silver Wolf. There was a time when I considered Silver Wolf as a must-pull in the game, because her Skill provided the most game-breaking mechanic at that period of time, adding a weakness type to the enemy based on the allies. Although that still has its use cases, with new characters simply ignoring Weakness Types or applying their damage type as weakness on enemies, Silver Wolf’s use case has simply diminished. She is still a good debuffer and the only character that applies debuffs with her Basic Attack.
So, that’s it. This is the best pull order for the Honkai Star Rail 3.0 character banners. However, you don’t have to take this to heart and simply pull the character that you like the most. Only take this list as a point of reference when making your decisions. Now, if you still have questions on the ranking order of some of the characters here, ask us in the comments and I will try to clear your doubts.
