- The pollinated mutation can only be obtained when a Bee Swarm event is currently active in the game.
- Players can place multi-harvest crops, collect all harvest just before the event starts, or place the Bee pets in their garden to increase the chances of getting the pollinated mutation.
- Once obtained, the pollinated mutation can increase the sale value of a harvest by 3 times.
With the brand new Bee Swarm event in Grow a Garden, we’ve got another money-making mutation in the game, known as Pollinated. As its name suggests, the harvests in your garden get this mutation from pollination during a special timed event, powered by you guessed it, bees! So if you find yourself curious about it all, keep reading to learn how to get pollinated mutation in Grow a Garden here.
How to Get the Pollinated Mutation in Grow a Garden
In Grow a Garden, you can get the new pollinated mutation only during the Bee Swarm event. Like the Lunar event in Grow a Garden, the Bee Swarm will happen every hour and last for 10 minutes. During this time, you just need to wait and watch the bees coming out of their hive to apply the mutation on any random harvest in your garden.

Crops with pollinated mutation can sell for 3 times the original sale value; hence, you can get lots of profit quickly. However, don’t go for selling your pollinated fruits right away, as you can drop them at the honey combpressor, gain honey, and then trade that for new Honey Eggs, Honey Cosmetics, and Bee Crates at the Queen Bee NPC. Find out how to go about it all using our event guide linked above.
Best Tips to Get Pollinated Mutation in Grow a Garden
As we have already discussed, the chances of getting the pollinated mutation are random, as they will depend on the bee swarm. However, there are still ways to maximize your chances. Follow the tips below for that.
1. Use Multi-Harvest Crops
The first step is to plant as many multi-harvest crops in your garden as you can. This will ensure that you don’t need to revisit the game to replant crops.
Simply using a harvest tool in your garden can prove to be another efficient technique, thereby collecting fruits effortless. Another important tip I would share is that go for those multi-harvest plants that give you heavy-weight fruits like the following:
- Star Fruit: Found in Night Seed Packs
- Moon Melon: Found in the Blood Shop
- Beanstalk: Found in the Seed Shop
- Moon Blossom: Found from Night Seed Pack
2. Harvest All Crops Before Bee Swarm Event
Another great way of maximizing the pollinated mutation in your garden is by collecting all the fruits that have completely grown, right before the event is about to happen. The event timer is always visible at the center of the play area beside the Queen Bee NPC, so you won’t have any trouble keeping track of the event.
New fruits that grow in your garden during a particular event have a higher chance of getting a mutation than those that are already ripe. So, a great way to not spend any in-game money and maximize the chances of getting this mutation.
3. Place the Bees in Your Garden
Finally, the last way is using the new game currency, honey. Although Sheckles aren’t used here, you are bound to lose some pollinated, mutated fruits in this process. All you need is some honey from the Worker Bee NPC, which you will get by giving it pollinated plants.
Later, you can use this Honey to trade the Bee Eggs from the Queen Bee NPC. Place it anywhere in your garden and you will get a variety of Bees as pets. You can use the regular bee, petal bee, and golden Bee to get pollinated fruits in your garden.
