How to Make Money Fast in Dig Roblox

In Short
  • Pick the right shovels, do quests, and defeat bosses to earn early and steady money in Dig.
  • Players should use the right enchantments and charms to boost item rarity and selling value.
  • Visit major dig spots and use tools like flares and detectors to save time and find better loot.

Whether it’s your first dig or your hundredth, one thing stays the same: money talks in Dig. No matter where you go, you will need cash to buy enchantment tomes, charms, or even that shiny shovel you’ve been eyeing. But the moment you spend some money after hours of grinding, your wallet is empty once again. Don’t worry, though. I’ve got you covered with the best ways to make money fast in Dig, so you can stop staring at that empty wallet and dive right in.

1. Pick the Right Shovel

Before you start digging in Dig Roblox, make sure to pick a shovel that fits your budget. If you are just starting out, go for the Training Shovel or Toy Shovel from Rocky’s Shovel Shop in Fox Town. From there, grind your way up to the Ruby Shovel and beyond.

Purchase Ruby Shovel in Dig

If you want to save money, Dig bosses drop a free shovel when players defeat them. However, the shovel drop is chance-based, and you might need to grind the boss fights multiple times. That way, you can stick with the Ruby Shovel and aim for the Candlelight Shovel instead. You can grab it for free by defeating the Candlelight Phantom, one of the Dig bosses.

While shovels you earn from boss fights don’t have any modifiers and won’t bring in much money, they are great for digging up Legendary or Mythical items early on. The rarer the items, the higher their value when you sell them. For the full breakdown, check out our Dig shovel progression guide and decide which one you want to pick for your digging journey.

2. Do Money-Making Quests

Mindlessly digging around the Dig locations won’t make you rich, unless you plan to sell dirt, which I don’t recommend. The game gives you plenty of quests that hand out free money for doing simple tasks.

I highly recommend hitting up the Pizza Penguin (4208, 1191, -4349) and Combat Guild (2509, 82, 1288) quests. They are easy to complete and can net you anywhere from $500 to $2K each time. It’s basically free cash…minus the fuel cost spent every trip you make delivering the pizza.

However, that’s not all you get from the quests. They also reward you with charms and buffs that improve your overall digging experience. For example, the Pizza Penguin quest can get you the powerful Pizza Roller Shovel and an Arcane Totem every ninth delivery. Use the Arcane Totem wisely, and you’ll have a better shot at digging up Divine or Mythical items.

On the other hand, the Combat Guild quests boost your boss damage with every completion. Stack those bonuses, and you’ll start melting bosses faster, making it easier to farm even more money in Dig.

3. Participate in Boss Fights

Speaking of making easy money by fighting bosses. Yes, it’s one of the best ways to earn money in Dig. Each boss gives you a chunk of money and XP once you take them down. Just make sure you are dealing steady damage while dodging their attacks like a pro.

Since other players usually join in, these fights don’t take too long. Moreover, every boss in Dig has a chance to drop rare loot, such as shovels, boss items, and charms. Sell items like King Claws and Candlelight Lanterns, and you’ll be stacking money way faster than just digging around.

4. Use Ideal Enchantment

Next up, my new addiction in Dig: Gamba!! I mean, enchantment. While the ability to use in-game money to buy enchantment tomes unlocks after level 30, you can always dig them up normally.

To get even more enchantment tomes, dig using Magnet Shovel or use the Abundant enchantment on your shovel. Once you have enough tomes, learn about all the Dig enchantments you should get to make money faster in Dig.

If your shovel doesn’t already have a passive that modifies items, try rolling for the Altered and Sparkled enchantments. Altered boosts your chances of getting modified items, which usually sell for more than regular ones. Sparkled, on the other hand, increases your shiny item rate. Shiny items sell for 3x the price.

However, if you’re using a Frigid Shovel or Shortcake Shovel, go for the Wumbo enchantment. These shovels already apply modifications to items, and Wumbo adds a chance to change their size. Bigger or smaller, those altered items can sell for a lot more, especially with the natural mutations from the shovel. It’s a great combo to boost your earnings quickly in Dig.

5. Get Important Items

While I don’t recommend spending on anything besides shovels early on, once you hit level 15 to 20, you’ll start needing better loot and more mobility. A basic ATV is good enough for getting around, so skip buying a new vehicle for now.

Instead, invest in the Glider and Emergency Flare. The Glider helps you cross tricky cliffs, while the flare gun is perfect for saving time during Pizza Penguin quests. Just accept a quest and use the flare to zip back to Fox Town instantly. It’s a huge time-saver and helps you earn money faster.

Furthermore, consider picking up the Item Detector for $10K from the Fox Town merchant shop. It highlights nearby item abundances, making it easier to track down Legendary or Mythical digs.

6. Best Locations to Dig Items

Don’t want to drop cash on the Item Detector? Just follow the herd. Players usually swarm certain spots to farm those juicy, high-rarity items. And if the randoms aren’t being helpful, I have got your back with some solid loot spots in Dig.

On Cinder Island, swing by the Verdant Vale pig farm (3835, 82, 1621). It’s basically a treasure pen filled with Legendary items like cows, goats, and pigs.

Moreover, you can head to the Graveyard in Rooftop Woodlands (3713, 226, -617) at night for plenty of Scarce rarity items. Make sure you activate the Ghostbusters quest first, so you can earn the Ectoplasm Sleeve after digging up three ghosts.

Over on the second island, Copper Mesa is a goldmine. Travel to the Kira Pale NPC (-6580, 247, -2424) and dig the surroundings. That area’s so rich, you’ll find more Scarce and Legendary items than less valued Common ones.

7. Adjust Charms

If you don’t know already, charms in Dig are your secret weapon for digging like a pro. If you are looking for more modifiers, then wear the Magic Top Hat charm, which you can get from the Traveling Merchant.

Struggling to confirm Mythical or Divine item digs? The Tenacity Brace is your best friend, and I swear it saved me from rage-quitting after missing one too many Divine finds.

And hey, if you already own these charms, don’t waste your hard-earned cash buying duplicates. Just grab a Charm Chisel from the Appraiser and reroll the stats whenever you need a fresh setup. With the right charm equipped, farming money is much easier in Dig.

Those are all the tips you need to start making money fast in Dig. Are you grinding for the Starfire Shovel? Or are you a fan of the Prismatic Shovel like I am? Let us know your favorite in the comments below!
