Xiaomi’s new sub-brand Pocophone will finally put the speculations to rest as it unveils its first smartphone, the Poco F1, in India today. The launch is set to take place in New Delhi and is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30 PM.
Even though the device has leaked in its entirety, there’s still enthusiasm among fans for Xiaomi’s return to the premium smartphone segment. Pocophone ‘Poco’ F1: Key Specs
The Poco F1 is being marketed as the master of speed and has the specs to match these claims. It will feature a notched 5.99-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display, with a 19:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2160×1080 pixels.
The Pocophone F1, as revealed in recent teasers, will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 and coupled with at least 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage (expandable via microSD card). It will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.6 out-of-the-box, because, yes, it’s yet another Xiaomi device.
On the optics front, the Pocophone F1 is expected to bring along a dual 12MP + 5MP rear camera setup placed at the center, along with a single 20MP front camera. We can expect to see all of Xiaomi’s camera and AI features on the device, which is surely a good thing.
On the connectivity front, the device features all your traditional stuff like Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WI-Fi Direct, and USB Type-C charging port. It also boasts of a massive 4,000mAh battery pack that would be enough to last you a day.
