Plants vs Brainrots recently introduced a Story Mode, in line with the original Plants vs Zombies game. In the Story Mode, your primary goal is to swiftly take down Brainrots and keep them away from the garden, preferably preventing them from invading. Doing so will allow you to unlock new Brainrots, alongside other rewards. In this post, we explain everything you should know about the Story mode in Plants vs Brainrot, so that you can dive into action without wasting any time.
What Is Plants vs Brainrots Story Mode?
Plants vs Brainrot Story Mode is a game mode where a special swarm of Brainrot spawns in the play area. Your plants will need to stop the Brainrots from reaching the end of the garden, where you see the wheelbarrows.
If a Brainrot destroys a wheelbarrow, the mission will fail immediately, and you’ll need to start over.

Alongside the Brainrots, your plants now also have a health bar. When a plant deals damage, the Brainrots’ health bar will disappear, and it will die. Similarly, a Brainrot can deal damage to your plants, causing them to disappear temporarily.
Make sure to place all of your plants towards the end of your garden, so that the barrage of Brainrots cannot start attacking them immediately. The Brainrots deal melee damage, so it will take some time to destroy your plants.
You can also use plants with mutations or those that have leveled up to deal more damage or slow down the Brainrots. Use gears in Plants vs Brainrots, like the Carrot launcher or Frost grenade, to make the run easier.
How to Start Story Mode in Plants vs Brainrots

A Brainrot Invasion takes place every 30 minutes, and you will learn about it from the timer with the ‘Incoming’ warning on the right side of the screen. Click on the ‘Battle‘ button whenever the timer reaches zero, and you are ready. If you’re not ready and need some preparation, hold off on clicking the button and rearrange your plants.
