OnePlus has started rolling out a new beta update to all the eager testers of the OnePlus 5T. The new Oxygen OS Open Beta 3 comes just a couple of weeks after the previous update went live. While this new update adds a bunch of new features to the smartphone, it removes the Clipboard app following all the controversial findings (like this one).
The Clipboard app was added to both the OnePlus 5/5T with an OxygenOS Open Beta on January 16. However, the company quickly came under the spotlight for allegedly sending user data to a server.
Moving on from that, OnePlus has added a new gesture for incoming calls. Users can now choose to slide up or down to answer. OnePlus has also added an option to hide the navigation buttons on the smartphone and use gestures similar to whats found on the iPhone X to navigate around the interface. Although this is not a 100-percent identical to iPhone’s gestures, they’re still worth checking out.
The update also brings the latest CVE-2017-13218 security patch for the CPU. There is also a new feature that’ll automatically sort SMS messages into different categories; however, this is limited to Indian users only.
