Are you still stuck with the Connections puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- NOT PRESENT – Absent, Elsewhere, Gone, Mia

- ROCK GENRES – Glam, Goth, Metal, Punk

The NYT Connections puzzle for August 9 made me realize there are actually genres within genres. However, I first began by solving the Yellow category and got it quickly since I knew MIA from all the movies I’ve seen. Connecting the rest of the words was as easy.
The Green category came next and I really didn’t know Cheerleader meant to support something. But now that I’ve used the word, I see why it would be. The Blue category came next and this is when my realization happened. However, once I had this enlightenment, I quickly added it.
As always there were only four words left. I got them all together to get the Purple category and the NYT Connections puzzle for August 9.
