What is “Connections”?
NYT’s ‘Connections’ is a puzzle game that’s all the hype on social media these days. You will find people solving and sharing their successes and failures on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), and more. The game is managed by Wyna Liu, NYT’s associate puzzle editor. Connections gives players 16 random words that must be divided into categories they don’t know.

Answers for Today’s Connections Game (August 3)
Are you still stuck with the Connections puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- BIT OF EXCITEMENT – High, Kick, Rush, Thrill
- TOLERATE – Bear, Stand, Stomach, Take
- NONSENSE – Baloney, Bull, Bunk, Tripe
- THINGS TO CLICK – Heels, Mouse, Remote, Tongue
While today’s NYT Connections puzzle didn’t really excite me, it did help me start off the Yellow category by getting the words together. The Blue category on the other hand was solved within just a few minutes because of words like Baloney which made me laugh.
I hated the words in the Green category but true to its name, stomached the words and solved it.
With only four words left, I got them all together to get the Purple category and the NYT Connections puzzle for August 3.
