Connections Answer for April 1
Are you still stuck with the puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- FOOD SLANG FOR MONEY – Bread, Bacon, Lettuce, Cheese
- WORDS THAT RHYME – Plane, Rain, Train, Brain
- HORROR MOVIES – Alien, Scream, Dracula, Saw
- LETTER HOMOPHONES – Ewe, Bee, Eye, Tea
Today, the NYT Connections took the puzzle to a whole new level by trading words for emojis! I’ll confess that I was flabbergasted when I first looked at the grid. Then I saw the date and it all made sense. I began my journey by solving the Yellow category first. Besides the word Lettuce, I already had a pretty good idea of the words meaning money.
I then moved on to the Green section. Just like before, the words Plane and Brain were easy enough to figure out. It’s a rhyme, so I got that too. The Blue section came next, and besides the Scream emoji, I had figured out everything. But nothing, a few silent moments thinking about it won’t fix.
Like always, only four words were left. I put them all together and solved the Purple category along with the NYT Connections puzzle for April 1.
