Looking at the teaser, it’s pretty obvious that this mini-series is going to be a chaotic yet fun ride for all those who have watched Malcom in the Middle, while also taking us on a massive nostalgia trip.

Who Is Returning to the Cast of Malcom in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair?

Malcom in the Middle Reboot will circle back to most of its original cast, as we will get to see the return of Brian Cranston as Hal, along with Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Malcom’s mom and dad. Moreover, Justin Berfield will return as Reese, and of course, Frankie Muniz will be seen as Malcom and the lead of this mini-series.

Lastly, we will get to see the return of Christopher Masterson as Francis, the eldest son of Lois and Hal, and the most rebellious of the pack. Seeing the family was the best part. It’s been 20 years since we said goodbye, and now we’re seeing the family again and each person. All the boys were around the same age, now, that I was when I started 25 years ago. They’ve got kids of their own. It’s just great to see.

Other than that, PEOPLE had an interview with Frankie Muniz, who revealed that initially, he was a bit nervous to get back to Malcom in the Middle and was worried if the cast would be able to work together effortlessly again. He said-

As an adult, you tend to overthink things … and you put more pressure on yourself as well. So I didn’t know what it was gonna be like if it was going to be easy to be Malcolm, if it was gonna be awkward back with the cast. And not to sound like cliché, but it was as if not a single day went by. All of us every single person like instantly fell back into their characters with, I’m talking the first table read.

So with that being said, it’s pretty obvious that the original cast of Malcom in the Middle is pretty excited to be back on the screen; however, there is one actor, Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey in the show, who is not returning to the revival, and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will appear as a recast Dewey, and Anthony Timpano as Jamie.
