Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome was the final movie starring Mel Gibson and people had high hopes for this movie considering how well the second one was carried out. However, this movie failed to meet people’s expectations. The director of the movie George Miller, was grieving the loss of the franchise producer Byron Kennedy who was also his fas friend.

So to help him out George Ogilvie was brought in and the different visions of two directors can be clearly seen in the two halves of the movie. Basically, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome met the same fate Justice League did when it came out in 2017, making it the worst Mad Max movie ever.

4. Mad Max

Mad Max was the movie that began the whole lore of Mad Max we know of as of now. This was the directorial debut of George Miller and the lack of funding and experience can be clearly seen in the movie. Even after this, George Miller successfully made a captivating and thrilling movie that set the course for one of the most loved franchises in the world.

Another thing that makes Mad Max special is that this is the only movie where we get to see Max as an interceptor and the only time where we get to see his wife and kids. This movie features some great action sequences but considering the inexperience of George Miller if we ignore some of the flaws this movie had, it was a very well done movie for its time.

3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

Furiosa had the pretty difficult task of living up to Fury Road, which is hailed as one of the best movies made in the 21st century and as it seems, it has successfully done so, this movie brings us the tale of Furiosa before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road took place.

This movie is not like the other Mad Max movies based entirely on intense action sequences but also brings in moments of insight. After Fury Road, Furiosa has been able to bring us the perfect blend of story, action, CGI, and of course, overly modded vehicles making it one of the best Mad Max movies. 2. Mad Max: The Road Warrior

After Miller’s amateurish approach towards Mad Max, The Road Warrior is the movie that makes it feel like he has learned how to make a mind-blowing movie. This movie became the very base of whatever has come out of the Mad Max franchise so far. Whether it be the landscape of the Wasteland, the unsettling clothing, humanity that has gone insane, and the overly modified vehicles. Its importance in the franchise and everything about it makes Mad Max: The Road Warrior one of the best movies in the Mad Max franchise.

1. Mad Max: Fury Road

Without a debate, Mad Max: Fury Road is the best Mad Max movie that has ever come out of the franchise. Even though this movie suffered a lot in production, even after all the troubles, Miller finally got the cast he desired for the movie together and made this masterpiece happen. Mad Max Fury Road is the one movie from this franchise that brings all the elements of Mad Max together in the most beautiful manner you can imagine. One of the best things about this movie was the perfect mixture of practical effects and CGI that brought out everything someone can expect from a Mad Max movie making it the best one ever made.
