The Yellowstone fans certainly didn’t expect the forced death of John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) in the show. Many reasons such as scheduling conflicts, and the previous strikes in Hollywood have indirectly caused the boss’s sudden exit from Yellowstone.

Ever since Kevin Costner’s departure, the show has never been the same. This is not just coming from a single fan as the majority of the fans are taking their concern to social media platforms and expressing their unhappiness over what this show has turned into.

The first four seasons of Yellowstone are some of the finest dramas you can find in the TV Show’s history. Fans began to notice the decline in quality from season 5’s start and when Kevin Costner left, it was like the final nail in the coffin for the series. If you remember well, Game of Thrones, renownedly known as “the best show on the planet” at that time also faced a disastrous treatment in the final season. Now Yellowstone fans can’t help but notice the similarities between the two great shows.

The fans absolutely didn’t see this coming and are tired of how Sheridan is penning the most-awaited finale to a grand series. We still do not for sure if Yellowstone is returning with a sixth season but in more way, season 5 is feeling like the final season of the series. Similar to the last season of Game of Thrones, Yellowstone featured unwanted deaths and filler scenes that do a good job of keeping the plot stagnated.

In fact, many fans are fed up with the filler scenes especially the ones where Taylor Sheridan occupied most of the screen time as Travis. While this is regarded as the final season, the creators made the show way more monotonous instead of delivering the epic drama of Yellowstone we fell in love with. So naturally the fans became furious and questioned the showrunners “When will we all get a proper answer to what has been built so far?”

Taylor Sheridan’s involvement in creating multiple shows and spinoffs has backfired heavily. Many believe it was one of the main reasons behind the unexpectedly poor quality of the show. In a way, the creators have undermined the loyal viewers’ trust and failed to meet their expectations until now.

Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2’s finale is scheduled to air next weekend. We hope the creators penned a proper sendoff to our favorite characters and that the show ends on a good note. But, the irrevocable damage has been already done to the fandom. Fans are only sticking with their beloved show to see how it ends. Game of Thrones had one of the worst endings in TV history, so, let’s hope Yellowstone doesn’t fall into the same trap.

Thus, let’s wait and see what the future holds in store for Yellowstone next week. In the meantime, what do you think about the current state of Yellowstone? Let us know in the comments below.
