How to Move Base in Dune Awakening

In Short
  • You cannot directly move a base in Dune Awakening. Instead, you have to save the base blueprint, move the materials, and rebuild it.
  • Use Solido Replicator to save your base blueprint and move the base materials on your bike's inventory.
  • Rebuild the base in the new location by placing the saved blueprint and using the materials from your bike's inventory.

Base building is one of the core elements of all survival games, and it is available in abundance in Dune Awakening. The game even forces you to build bases in new areas to get the best access to the nearby resources. However, having multiple bases to your name is not ideal due to the taxation feature and poor fast travel mechanics. So if you want to set up your home in another region, here is a full guide on how to move base in Dune Awakening.

How to Move Base in Dune Awakening

Moving bases in Dune Awakening can be a hassle, especially if you don’t know what you are doing. Dune Awakening’s map is massive, and you will quickly find yourself jumping from one area to the next to find resources for new tools and buildings. So, here we have split the steps of moving your base into four separate sections, making it easier to follow.

1. Save Your Base’s Blueprint

To move base in Dune Awakening, the very first thing you need to do is save the blueprint of your base. This lets you put this blueprint onto whatever new area you go to. This can be done using the Solido Replicator. First, research the Solido Replicator and then craft it using the Fabricator. After you have done that, follow these steps to save the blueprint:

  • Hold the Solido Replicator in your hand and point it at your base.
  • Press left-click to save your base’s blueprint.
  • Now, move to where you want to set up your new base and equip the Solido Replicator again.
  • Left-click again in the new area to place the blueprint of your old base.

One thing to note is that the Solido Replicator only saves the Blueprint of your base, and doesn’t move the original base. So, you will still have to carry the materials from your old base to the new location.

2. Move Materials to Your Bike

So, you have saved the blueprint of your base, but how to carry the materials from your old base to the new base? This is the tedious part of moving your base in Dune Awakening, as there isn’t a simple solution. The best way to solve this is by moving the materials on your bike. Now, this can take ages if you don’t fit your bike with a high quality storage extension.

Research a Sandbike Inventory MK1 or higher and craft it in the fabricator. Now, use the Welding Torch to assemble it on your bike. Press and hold the F key near your bike and select the Manage Bike option. Move to the storage section to find the bike inventory. Move all the materials of your old base here.

3. Demolish and Abandon your Old Base

After you have moved all the materials from your storage, demolish your old base using the construction tool and move the building materials itself to the new base area. This will save you a ton of resources for building the base. To demolish your base, follow these steps:

  • Hold the construction tool on your hand and right-click until the mode changes to Demolish.
  • Now, point at the building you want to demolish and left-click.
  • The building will be destroyed and you will be refunded the materials.

Use your bike to move the construction materials to the new area. Finally, abandon the old base by opening the Map and holding the X key while pointing at your old base’s location.

4. Rebuild the Base

Once you have moved all the materials onto your bike, it is time to head to the new area and start rebuilding. If you haven’t already, place the Blueprint of your old base and move the materials from your bike inventory to your inventory.
