How to Get Patrick Star Sidekick in Fortnite

Epic Games is finally bringing SpongeBob’s best buddy, Patrick Star, to Fortnite. Much like the previous SpongeBob collaboration, Epic will soon be adding the Patrick Star Sidekick to the Fortnite Item Shop. This will be part of the game’s collaboration with the new SpongeBob SquarePants movie. If you want to get your hands on this beloved starfish and have him as a companion during matches, here’s everything you need to know.

Fortnite Patrick Star Sidekick: How to Get It and Price

You can get the Patrick Star Fortnite Sidekick by purchasing it in the Item Shop when it releases on July 23, 2026, at 8 PM ET. The Patrick Star Sidekick will be a part of the second wave of the Fortnite x SpongeBob collaboration, which will also introduce a new Ice Spice skin to the game. At the time of writing, the Patrick Star Sidekick is not out yet, and you will have to wait another day to get it for your collection.

That said, here are all the steps you can follow to purchase the Patrick Star Sidekick:

• Launch Fortnite and head to the Item Shop through the top bar after the Item Shop reset on July 23, 2026.
• Look for the SpongeBob collab section.
• Since the collab will be Wave 2 of a major collaboration, players should find it at the top.
• Click on the Patrick Star Sidekick (1,500 V-Bucks).
• Make sure you have enough V-Bucks in your account to go through with the purchase.
• Click and hold the Purchase button.
• Head to your locker, and you should find the Patrick Star Sidekick.

Since Patrick is releasing alongside the new Ice Spice skin, players will also be able to get the new Sidekick at a discounted price through a bundle. However, if you are looking for cheaper cosmetics, you can check out the free Fortnite skins and other cosmetics that are available to claim right now.

Additionally, if you are running low on V-Bucks to purchase the Patrick Star Sidekick, you can redeem any V-Bucks Cards you might have in your back pocket. However, remember that, just like all cosmetics, the Patrick Sidekick will leave the Fortnite Item Shop a few days after release, which means you will only have a few days to acquire it before it rotates out.
