Cobalt Paste is nothing less than an essential resource in Dune Awakening, especially when it comes to crafting items such as Blood Extractors, Ore Refineries, Vehicle Hulls, Shields, and much more. This makes it crucial to stock up on the item since you’ll be requiring a ton of it as you inch towards the mid-game. Being a refined resource, obtaining Cobalt Paste is technically a two-step process, and we’re here to break it down for you. So, here’s how you can get Cobalt Paste in Dune Awakening.

How to Make Cobalt Paste in Dune Awakening

To make Cobalt Paste in Dune Awakening, you’ll need to find and mine Erythrite Crystals and then process them using a Chemical Refinery at your base. All the important crystals can be found within mining facilities, underground tunnels, and moisture caves in the Hagga Rift region.

A sure-shot location to find Erythrite Crystals is the CHOAM Mineral Extraction Facilities present in this region. Exploring these facilities can take up to an hour since you’ll also have to fight enemies along the way.

Throughout your expedition, be on the lookout for the red crystals as seen in the image above. After gathering Erythrite Crystals, return to your base and interact with a small or medium Chemical Refinery. To get one Cobalt paste, you will need 3 Erythrium Crystals and 75 Water.

While both refineries will do the job, the medium variant consumes fewer Erythrite Crystals and also takes five seconds less to produce one Cobalt Paste item. You’ll require decent water reserves to produce the item, regardless of your Chemical Refinery.

We recommend wearing a Stillsuit whenever you leave the base since it recycles your sweat and repurposes it as water. Similarly, carrying around the Dew Extractor tool, especially past midnight, allows you to easily harvest water from plants.
