You cannot defeat or kill it, as there is no health bar on it. However, you can avoid its attacks and not take any damage. Bring bandages, food, and weapons before entering the cave, as a backup.
Like bats in real life, the one in 99 Nights in the Forest also has very poor eyesight. But it has immense hearing power and can emit sound waves when screaming.
