How to Unlock the Bow Recipe in RuneScape DragonWilds
The bow is a powerful early-game power boost in RuneScape DragonWilds, enabling players to hunt deer and birds easily. Crafting a bow in RuneScape DragonWilds is also reasonably simple, as long as you have unlocked the recipe by collecting the correct materials. The opportunity to craft a bow will automatically present itself as you progress through the game’s main quests.
A bow can be crafted in RuneScape: DragonWilds with Coarse Threads and Ash Logs. We will then use them in a Spinning Wheel that also needs a few materials. These are:
- 12x Ash Logs
- 4x Flax
- 2x Stone
While Ash Logs and stones are easy to find everywhere in the game, you must craft Coarse Threads using a Spinning Wheel. Follow the steps given below to unlock the bow.
1. Collect Flax
First, you must collect Flax, one of the required materials for the Spinning Wheel. You will find flax lying around in the Valley in RuneScape DragonWilds. Look for a blue plant in the valley and get near it. If it says Flax, then collect it by pressing the Collect (E) key to unlock the recipe for Spinning Wheel. 2. Craft a Spinning Wheel
After you have collected Flax, you will need to craft a spinning wheel. You will need the spinning wheel to craft Coarse Threads, one of the base materials for crafting a bow in RuneScape DragonWilds. You’ll need the materials we mentioned above to craft the spinning wheel.

After crafting the spinning wheel and placing it inside a shelter, it’s time for Corase Threads. To craft Coarse Threads, use the wheel and move the Flax from your inventory to the Spinning Wheel menu.
Now, click on Ready to Start and wait for the Coarse Threads to get crafted automatically. Collect them from the ground and move to the Crafting Bench to craft a bow.
How to Craft the Bow in RuneScape DragonWilds
Once you have unlocked the bow recipe by following the above steps, you will need some materials to craft it. These are:
- 12 Ash Logs
- 3 Coarse Threads
Once you have collected the materials, head to the bench and select the bow recipe. Craft the bow by pressing the ‘Craft’ button and equip it with your character. Now, you will also need to craft arrows to shoot at enemies. You can now make either Stone Arrows or Fang Arrows easily.
After you have crafted the arrows, right-click on the arrow in the inventory to equip it. Now you can use the Bow to hunt deer and other wild game or attack enemies from afar.
