- In Grow a Garden, players can now buy cosmetic items by visiting the Cosmetic Shop located between the Gear Shop and Pet Eggs Shop.
- Cosmetic crates can also be bought from the same shop, and placing them in your garden starts a timer. Once it ends, new items will be unlocked.
- To place a cosmetic item, click on the tools button at the top left and select the item to place it in the garden. You can move and rotate items as well.
Grow a Garden has received the much-awaited Cosmetic update, introducing a massive collection of cool and pretty decorative items. These will perfectly blend with the plants in your garden, however, some of these might require you to clean up your plots to make the garden look more aesthetic and pleasing. How to Get Cosmetic Items in Grow a Garden
Grow a Garden has added a Cosmetic Shop to enable you to buy all the newly added cosmetic items. It is located between the Gear Shop and the Pet Eggs Shop. So, you can either use the recall wrench to transport directly in front of the Gear Shop and turn left, or simply walk over there and interact with the Sam NPC.
Pressing the E key (on PC) near the Sam NPC will open up a pop-up window that shows the current stock of cosmetic items. You will find a 10-hour restock timer at the top of the window, similar to the seed and gear shop, that will inform you when new items will be restocked.

We have mentioned the price of all the items, along with their images, where most Common and Uncommon items can only be bought using Sheckles. The Rare and Legendary items provide a secondary option to spend Robux as well.
How to Open Crates in Grow a Garden
Among all the cosmetic items you can buy, there are options to buy various crates as well that can give access to Signboards, Gnomes, or other fun items. You will find them at the Cosmetic Shop, except for the Exotic Cosmetic Crate that can be bought only using Robux via the in-game shop.
So, once you get them, follow the steps below to place and open a crate in Grow a Garden:
- Stand near an empty area in your garden and press the Backpack icon on top to open your inventory.
- Search for the specific crate you want to place by typing the name in the search box.
- Left-click on the crate to hold it in your hand and press the left mouse button on an empty area to place it there.
Similar to pet eggs, placing the crate down will start a timer that will be displayed on top of it. There are seven cosmetic crates in Grow a Garden, including Sign Crate, Statue Crate, Fun Crate, Common Gnome Crate, Farmer Gnome Crate, Classic Gnome Crate and the Exotic Cosmetic Crate.
Each of the crates requires 45 seconds to open. So, you will need to wait for some time. Once the timer ends, you can press and hold the E key to open it, thereby storing the item in your cosmetic item backpack for later use.
How to Access Cosmetic Items
All the items you buy from the Cosmetic Shop or get through crates are stored in a secondary new backpack. Don’t worry if you can’t spot them right away even after typing their name in the search box. Simply follow these steps to get access to all your cosmetic items:
- Find the new Tools icon at the top left of your screen.
- Click the Tools icon to open the cosmetic items backpack.
- You can then select the items and place them in your garden.
Alternatively, you can click the Backpack icon to open up your inventory and then press the B key (on PC) to view all the cosmetic items you own.
How to Place and Move Cosmetic Items in Grow a Garden
Now that you know where to find all the cosmetic items, its time to place them in your garden. All you need to do is find a suitable empty space in your garden and follow the given steps:
- Open up your cosmetics backpack and select the item you want to place.
- Clicking on the item will place it an empty area on your plot, even outside the plant area.
- Now, keep the cosmetic backpack open and left-click on the item you placed.
- You will now see three options (from left to right) — move, rotate, and store it back in your backpack.
