The Fairy Event is live in Grow a Garden with a whole new set of quests, which reward you with seed packs, eggs, cosmetic crates, and more. In addition to that, the update introduces an exclusive event currency called the Fairy point. But how to make the most out of this Fairy event? The answer lies in Fairy upgrades. So, stick with us as we break down the steps to upgrade your fairies, event duration, and mutation multiplier in the game.
How to Use Fairy Points for Fairy Upgrades in Grow a Garden
The Fairy upgrades are conducted by the Fairy Godmother NPC; however, they do not come for free. You must obtain and save Fairy points first to make Fairy upgrades possible.
In order to get them, head over to the Wishing Well and offer the required plants with Glimmering mutation. This increases the rewards tier, and you have a chance at obtaining Fairy points. So, follow the steps below for Fairy upgrades in Grow a Garden:
- Walk up to the Fairy Godmother NPC in front of the Wishing Well and press the ‘E’ key to interact with her.
- Select the “Show me the Upgrades” dialogue to open the Fairy Upgrades window.
- Here are four types of Fairy upgrades (more on this below) you can choose from.
- Click the green button to the right of each upgrade to increase the power of your choice.
- This will consume Fairy points, and a single level of the specific upgrade will increase.
List of All Fairy Upgrades in Grow a Garden
Now that you know how to perform the Fairy upgrades, here’s a brief on what sort of upgrades you can perform in the Fairy event in Grow a Garden. The four types of upgrades displayed by the Fairy Godmother are as follows:
1. Glimmer Multiplier
Upgrading the glimmer multiplier will increase the Glimmering mutation multiplier value. This way, you can earn more profits by selling Glimmering mutated fruits. Here are the points required to upgrade this one:
Multiplier | Fairy Points Required |
---|---|
1x (5x mutation value by default) | Default |
1.1x | 500 |
1.2x | 1500 |
1.3x | 3000 |
1.4x | 6000 |
1.5x | 9000 |
1.6x | 15,000 |
1.7x | 30,000 |
1.8x | 60,000 |
1.9x | 120,000 |
2x (10x mutation value) | 240,000 |
Roaming Fairy Spawn Amount
This upgrade will increase the number of fairies appearing in the lobby. At times, you might notice fairies appearing at random locations, and interacting with them applies the Glimmering mutation to a fruit in your garden. So, here are the required points to upgrade the fairy spawn amount:
Loose Fairy Count Fairy Points Required 2 Default 4 2,500 5 5,000 6 9,000 7 15,000
Fairy Event Duration
As the name suggests, upgrading this one will increase the time of the Fairy event. So, the longer the event duration, the more plants in your garden get the Glimmering mutation. Given below are the required fairy points to upgrade this:
Duration Fairy Points Required 10 minutes Default 11 minutes 2,500 12 minutes 5,000 13 minutes 8,500 14 minutes 14,000 15 minutes 21,000 16 minutes 31,000 17 minutes 44,000 18 minutes 61,000 19 minutes 80,000 20 minutes 136,000
Fairy Spawn Amount
Finally, upgrading the Fairy spawn amount increases the number of fairies appearing during the event. With more fairies, more plants get the new mutation. So here are all the points required to upgrade this one:
Fairy Count Fairy Points Required 2 Default 4 2,500 5 5,000 6 9,000 7 15,000 8 24,000 9 36,000 10 52,000 11 74,000 12 98,000
What Should You Upgrade First in the Grow a Garden Fairy Event
With all done, the real question arises about what you should upgrade first in this Fairy event. Let’s be real and leave upgrading the glimmer multiplier to the very last. The reason is that it can reach a maximum of 2x, which isn’t that great in terms of earning profits, and that too with a low number of Glimmering mutated crops.
So, among the rest, I would recommend that you focus on the Fairy Event Duration first. If you can upgrade it to the maximum, you’ll have 20 minutes of the Fairy event every hour. This can massively increase the amount of Glimmering mutated plants in your garden, thereby helping in obtaining the exclusive rewards and Fairy points.
Now there are two paths depending on the type of player you are. If you’re more of an active player, try to upgrade the Loose Fairy Spawn Amount first and then the Fairy Spawn Amount. So, you can get more Glimmering plants even when the event is inactive.
However, for AFK players, focus on upgrading the normal Fairy Spawn Amount and then the Loose ones. This way, you can come online when the event takes place and get the most out of it. So, here is the priority order for upgrading the fairies:
- Fairy Event Duration
- Fairy Spawn Amount
- Loose Fairy Spawn Amount
- Glimmer Multiplier
