The Halloween expansion update has just arrived in Grow a Garden with a brand-new questline. Every alternate hour, the Witch is getting replaced by a creepy-looking Dead Tree with glowing eyes, and this is the one giving you new spooky quests. Completing the Dead Tree quests rewards you with some exclusive Halloween-themed items like the Spooky Eggs, Halloween Gear Box, sprinklers, and more. How to Complete Grow a Garden Dead Tree Quests

The Dead Tree spawns in the central area of the Lobby every 2 hours during the Grow a Garden Halloween Event. After the update, you might sometimes see the Witch there instead – that’s because the Witch and the Dead Tree take turns spawning every hour. If the Witch shows up first and stays for an hour, the next time, the Dead Tree appears, and they keep alternating like that.

So, once this is clear to you and the Dead Tree has spawned, go close to it and press the ‘E‘ key to interact. This pops up a window, displaying a set of three quests on the upper half. These quests can be any of the following list of tasks:

  • Harvest 10 Vamp Plants
  • Grow a Bat to age 10
  • Consume 6 bowls of Suspicious Soup
  • Travel 1000 studs with a Witch’s Broom
  • Harvest 5 Pumpkins
  • Harvest 10 Ghostly Plants
  • Open 3 Halloween Gear Boxes
  • Consume 7 bowls of Suspicious Soup

To be eligible for rewards, simply complete the specified tasks. The 1-hour timer on top of the window displays how long the Dead Tree will be present in the game. Once the time goes off, and the tree goes away, the three tasks will refresh, and you’ll have to start again in the next iteration. Alternatively, you can choose to click on the yellow colored Skip Quests button on the top right to spend 59 Robux and claim the rewards directly.

So, once you have completed the required quests given by the Dead Tree or chosen to skip them, you will be eligible for any one of the following rewards (chosen at random) in Grow a Garden:

Additionally, you’re also eligible for the Wheeping Branch reward. Claiming it will mutate any nearby fruit in your garden with a Shroud, Withering, or Lament mutation.
