Google Pixel 8 Colors: All the Official Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Color Options

Google has finally unveiled its latest flagship phones, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. They include the new Google Tensor G3 chipset, up to 5x zoom cameras, Android 14, and many innovative AI features. This year, both the new Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are available in three different color combinations. Google has introduced some new colors with the Pixel 8 series, which we have not seen before. So in this article, we’re going to talk about Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro colors with their official images in full glory. On that note, let’s jump in.

Pixel 8 Colors

Pixel 8 has been made available in three colors, which include Rose, Hazel, and Obsidian (in order, as shown above). These colors are not new for Pixel users as Google has released Pixel devices in all these color variants before.

Sadly, Google didn’t release a Coral variant for the Pixel 8 series. That said, the exterior is made of more durable materials and can easily withstand scratches this time around. It’s protected by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and back.

The best part is that Pixel 8 has a matte aluminum frame, so you are getting a premium in-hand experience. Google says the aluminum frame is 100% built on recycled content so that is nice. Overall, the device is made of 18% recycled material. Finally, Pixel 8 weighs 187 gms (6.6 oz).

Pixel 8 Pro Colors

With the Pixel 8 Pro as well, Google has not gone with wildly funky colors this time around. The Pixel 8 Pro comes in three color variants, including, Bay Blue, Porcelain, and the classic Obsidian.

We have already seen the Pixel Fold in Porcelain and Obsidian, so it’s nice that Google has brought those color options to the 8 Pro. Apart from that, the Bay color might come across as too vibrant and “on-the-face,” but personally, I like it. The shade is a bit stronger than Pixel 7a’s Sea Blue color variant. It weighs 213 gm (7.5 oz) which is slightly on the higher side, but you also get a larger 5,050 mAh battery. By the way, which of the Pixel 8 Pro’s colorways do you like the most?

Besides the color options for the Pixel 8 series, I am surprised that Google has announced “seven years of OS, security, and feature drop updates” with the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. That is a high benchmark the company has set, beating Samsung and OnePlus in the Android ecosystem, and even Apple too.

Overall, I’m also very excited about the new Tensor G3 chipset, which focuses on efficiency over breakneck performance. Apart from that, it’s always a delight to see new AI features like “Best Take” and “Photo Unblur” coming to Pixel devices first.

Google has also added Pro controls to its camera app, which was frankly long due. And strangely, the Pixel 8 Pro comes with a built-in Thermometer. Nevertheless, what do you feel about the new color options for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

  • why porcelain variant of pixel 8 pro is not available in india any idea ?
and what is the display resolution for pixel 8 pro ? isn’t is 1440×3200 ?

  • I understand about the limited colors. Sell phones, not art. They will knock Apple and Samsung for a loop at least for the next 4-8 years. That’s my prediction. As a photographer, I’m very excited about the camera upgrades too.
