Google Offers Rs 1.4 Crore To Krunal Patel A BITS, Goa Student

A BITS Goa student, Krunal Kishorbhai Patel has been offered Rs 1.4 crore by the technology giant Google.

A mere 21 years old, Krunal has indeed made all the heads turn and look at him. He is currently persuing a dual degree – BE (honours) in computer science and MSc (honours) in mathematics from BITS Goa campus.

He will join Google as a software engineer at its headquarters in California from October 2015.

Google had conducted APAC test for students who would be graduating in 2015 from different universities across Asia Pacific and Krunal was ranked second in India and eighth overall.

Expressing his excitement after getting the offer, Krunal said,

“I couldn’t believe it for a few seconds when my recruiter called me to present the offer. It was the best day of my life”.

But, all this success did not come overnight for Krunal. He had to be focused all throughout and had to make extra efforts to keep himself updated about the latest technologies in the world.

People who are close to him say that he is a passionate coder and a diligent workman of his craft. Krunal scored well in both computers as well as mathematics at the college with a CGPA (cumulative grade point average value) of 9.4, and cleared GATE 2014 with an all-India rank of 10 in computer science.
