Lohen is a very strong on-field Cryo driver, dealing a fair amount of damage in melt teams. He is already one of the top characters placed in our Genshin Impact tier list. To squeeze the best out of Lohen, use the following build for him:

Lohen completely scales on ATK, so prioritize using ATK% as the main stat in his Sands and Goblet artifacts. You can also use an EM Sands if you want to play him solely as a driver, but I won’t recommend doing that. Next, focus on building Crit Rate or Crit DMG as the main stat on his Circlet. Pick either to meet the 1:2 ratio of overall Crit Stats. For sub stats, Crit will take priority, followed by ATK%, Energy Regeneration, and Elemental Master.

Lohen has many weapon options, but his signature weapon, Disaster and Remorse, is way ahead of all the other options. This weapon greatly increases the Normal and Charged Attack damage of the character, while also giving a 75% DMG boost when the Hexerei passive is triggered.
When it comes to 5-star alternatives, the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, Staff of the Scarlet Sands, and Crimson Moon’s Semblance are the best options. But you can also use Lumidouce Elegy, Bloodsoaked Ruins, and Staff of Homa.
For 4-star and F2P-friendly options, Deathmatch, Ballad of the Fjords, Blackcliff Pole, and White Tassel are all great options.

A Day Carved From Rising Winds is the best Artifact set for Lohen in Genshin Impact. This set increases the ATK of the equipped character. This artifact set is particularly good for Hexerei characters, as it increases the Crit Rate when the Hexerei passive is triggered.
Other than that, Blizzard Strayer is the best alternative as it increases Cryo damage significantly. Lohen’s best team in Genshin Impact must always feature strong off-field damage dealers.
