Albedo doesn’t like going to restaurants, preferring his own home-cooked meal for the most part. However, he also has an interesting sense of appetite, different from normal humans. During one interaction with Albedo, he reveals that there are a kind of large spiders living around true Ancient Trees, and these spiders are well…yummy.

He goes into great detail on how to cook the large spiders properly to get a taste that is quite unforgettable, and I do not doubt Albedo on that observation.

2. Albedo Went 860 Days Without Featuring on the Banner

Genshin Impact community holds a lot of Albedo fans, who await every banner for his return to either max his Constellation or obtain him for the first time. Sadly, Hoyoverse decided to not feature Albedo in the Genshin Impact banners for 860 days. His run of not featuring on banners finally ended with the new Chronicled Wish banner released in March 2024, over 2 years after his last banner ended in November 2022.

Technically, his main banner has still not returned if you don’t consider the Chronicled Wish as a traditional featured banner.

Albedo is an adopted child and the half-brother of Klee in Genshin Impact. Klee’s mother Alice acted as a Parental figure to Albedo and adopted him as his own child, while Klee wanted Albedo to refer to her as his own sister.

Although Albedo doesn’t like socializing, he loves spending time with Klee and does his all to keep her protected at all times.

Talking about Albedo’s parentage, a cool fact about him is that he is not technically a real human. The rumors of Albedo not being a human had been circulating in the Genshin community for a long time, and finally, it was confirmed in Act 5 of the Chalk Prince and the Dragon Story.

Albedo is a homunculus, or a synthetic human, created by Rhinedottir, who also acted as Albedo’s master and friend. He also shares Durin’s life force within himself; Durin is a dragon who was created and became corrupted.

Albedo is a mysterious individual, with a very distinct taste in food as mentioned earlier. However, he also has many normal hobbies. Albedo likes painting and uses the name Calx as the artist for his paintings.

Similarly, he also loves reading books, which is not really surprising for an academic like him, however, he doesn’t keep himself strictly to academic studies, often reading Xingqiu’s books that he helps illustrate.

Albedo reveals to the traveler that he is interested in learning about his origin, as well as Paimon’s origin, and would love to do some tests on Paimon.

Albedo is a strong character in Genshin Impact, but he is way stronger in the lore of the game. He is referred to as the Kreideprinz, aka Chalk Prince, and the Alchemy he uses can control life itself, like breathing life into plants.

Chalk plays an important role in Alchemy and it is often indicated that Albedo might be made out of chalk itself.

Albedo’s alchemy is very special and known worldwide because even the brightest minds in the Sumeru Akademiya can replicate it. This is because Albedo uses the lost Alchemy knowledge of Khaenri’ah, and is often indicated to be born or created in the ancient land. The Khaenri’ah Alchemy used by Albedo has control over life itself, making it immensely powerful and potent.

He was taught this by his master and creator Rhinedottir, who is also likely connected to the land of Khaenri’ah in some way.

10. Albedo May Turn Evil

As revealed earlier, Albedo is not actually a human but a Homunculus or synthetic human. This puts Albedo in a unique situation where he can eventually become corrupted, same as the Dragon Durin whose life source is used in Albedo too. We have often seen that Albedo has an inclination towards dark objects, like the Festering Desire.

Even Albedo is fearful of losing control of himself one day, which is also foreshadowed by Dainsleif. Whether he turns evil or not, we can always expect the traveler to be there to stop his friend in his time of need.

11. Albedo Is an Introvert

Albedo is not the outgoing sort, unlike Hu Tao, and dislikes socializing too much. He dislikes going to restaurants, and meeting too many people and prefers his time alone. In this sense, he can be considered an introvert.

Lisa is the head librarian of Knights of Favonius and is often found delegating her duties to others, something the Traveler is well familiar with.
