Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ will be launched in India on August 20. The company earlier today started sending out press invites for the launch event that will be held at the Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The event will begin at 11:30AM IST and, will be live streamed on the company’s official YouTube channels, as well as its English and Hindi websites.
The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are expected to go on sale in India from August 23. While the Note 10 has been priced starting at Rs. 69,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB model, the Note 10+ starts at Rs. 79,999 for the 12GB of RAM and 256GB version. Launch offers include a cashback of Rs. 6,000 when using HDFC credit/debits cards at brick-and-mortar retailers and ICICI credit/debit cards on Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall and Tata Cliq.
The Note 10 and Note 10+ were unveiled earlier this month in New York, largely to positive reviews from the media. The devices have also receive accolades from DXOMark for its imaging chops, as well as from DisplayMate for its Dynamic AMOLED display. However, while their designs, displays, cameras and other features have received praise from most observers, some have expressed disappointment that they have ditched the 3.5mm audio socket, ostensibly, to increase battery capacity by a meager 100mAh.
As a refresher, the Galaxy Note 10 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display, while the Note 10+ comes with a massive 6.8-inch QHD+ panel of the same description. Both are powered by the Exynos 9825 or the Snapdragon 855 depending on the region and the carrier. However, while the standard Note 10 sports a triple rear camera set-up on the back, the larger model accommodates a quad-cam module, with the additional sensor being described as a ‘DepthVision camera’.
