Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 has brought the dangerous rivalry between the Foundation and the Ice King to the Battle Royale island. This rivalry is one to be celebrated, and for that, Epic Games has announced a brand new global leaderboard event with multiple rewards attached to it. Fortnite Showdown Event Start and End Date

The Fortnite Showdown event will run from March 19 to April 16, 2026, at 12 AM ET. This means players have around a month to compete on the global leaderboard and earn all the rewards attached to the Showdown event.

How to Join Fortnite Showdown Rivalry Event

You can join the Fortnite Showdown Rivalry event by logging into Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 and choosing a side between Team Ice King and Team Foundation. This will assign a team to your account, which will stay for the rest of the season. It is important to remember that you cannot change your team after you have selected the side you want.

After joining the event, you can head to the global Showdown event leaderboard website to check on your progress, as well as your position on the leaderboard.

Which Team Should You Choose: Team Foundation or Team Ice King?

The real meat of the Fortnite Showdown event is its many rewards that you can earn by completing weekly challenges available on the global Showdown website. These rewards range from simple emoticons to exclusive Fortnite Kicks. Here is a list of every challenge you can complete and the reward you can earn:

• Register for Showdown – Original Rivalry spray
• Week 1: Eliminate 50 players – Rivaled Runners Kicks
• Week 2: Survive 30 Storm circles – Goofyfoot Flail pickaxe
• Week 3: Earn a Victory Royale – Enticing Pie emote
• Week 4: Win 15 rivalries to earn – Eagle’s Talons pickaxe
• Complete all Weekly Challenges: Team Foundation’s “Gear Up!” Emoticon/Team Ice King’s “Stay Frosty” Emoticon (depending on the team you choose)

Fortnite Showdown Global Leaderboard IRL Rewards

Along with the in-game rewards, Epic Games will also be granting IRL rewards to players who perform well on the Fortnite Showdown event global leaderboard. You can earn everything, ranging from T-Shirts for Team Ice King and Team Foundation to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. • Top 5 players (every week) – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080
• Top 20 players – PlayStation 5
• Top 100 players – Team Ice King and Team Foundation apparel, like T-Shirts (depending on the team you choose)
