Fortnite One Piece Pirate Chest Location (and What It Does)

A strange pirate treasure chest has appeared on the Fortnite island ahead of the ‘Story Moment Event‘ for the mini season update. Many speculate it’s related to the One Piece collab, which has been rumored for a long time, and it seems likely to arrive with the next season. If this piqued your interest, check out the location of the One Piece pirate chest, aka the Nice Shark chest, in Fortnite.

Where to Find the One Piece Chest in Fortnite

The One Piece chest can be found east of the Sunken Shores island and south of the Mega Maze on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 map. The chest is rather large and visible from the Battle Bus, and you can mark it on the map before you jump off to glide towards it with ease.

The One Piece ‘Nice Shark’ chest in Fortnite is not a hot-drop location owing to the fact that there’s nothing to do there besides looking at it. There are no rewards to discover the One Piece chest. There’s no special weapon or item you can get outside of the current Fortnite loot pool here.

That said, you should visit the One Piece pirate chest once it fully materializes on the Fortnite island during the final week of the season to hear the voicelines.

What Happens During One Piece Chest Story Moment Event in Fortnite?

At present, the One Piece pirate chest does nothing since being added in the Fortnite 42.40 update. You cannot interact with the chest, cannot destroy it, and it has no effect if you touch it. The chest is still phasing into reality.

The Nice Shark chest in Fortnite has multiple build-up stages before completely materializing on the island. At the moment, only the bottom half of the chest has phased into reality, but the Jolly Roger is prominently visible. It’s being speculated that the One Piece chest belongs to One Piece’s Gol D. Roger.

It would seem that this is his way of telling everyone that the “One Piece” is real, and we should seek it. The chest is made of purple wood, has gold plating, and is encrusted with gemstones. It’s covered in barnacles as well, which suggests it’s been at the bottom of the sea for a while.

That said, we don’t know where the pirate ‘Nice Shark’ chest comes from, but we do know it will play songs daily. In an X post by Fortnite leaker @SpushFNBR, it was revealed that the One Piece chest will play four songs on loop once it has fully formed. Here is the Nice Shark chest’s songs list:

• Birdbrain by Jamie Paige (ft. Kasane Teto)
• Miku by Anamanaguchi (ft. Hatsune Miku)
• Riot by A$AP Rocky
• What You Saying by Lil Uzi Vert

The One Piece chest in Fortnite is also said to have voicelines that players will hear when they interact with it. These should go live later this week, alongside the songs. We could see them added on Thursday, October 22, when the Fortnite Quests refresh.

Now that you know where to find the One Piece chest in Fortnite, visit it and take some screenshots while it’s still in-game. With the Fortnite One Piece collab around the corner, this is the beginning of perhaps the most anticipated crossover in history.
