- In Fisch, you can appraise the value of fishes and items by interacting with the Appraiser NPC at Moosewood.
- Appraising during any weather-based event, like the Mutation Surge event, gives you the best chances at getting mutated fish.
- Alternatively, you can buy the appraiser's luck game pass to reduce the cost. Note that appraising Exotic, Secret, and Event-Limited fish is recommended.
Fisch has a unique way of letting the players experience the game’s RNG feature. In this game, you can collect fishes of unique mutations that sell for higher value, and well, also look cool. However, players can also appraise their fish to alter their weight or give them certain mutations. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t do a good enough job of explaining this mechanic. However, fear not as we are here. Keep reading as we tell all about it using your Fisch appraisal guide right here.
How to Appraise a Fish in Fisch
Since appraisal in Fisch isn’t exactly one of the primary things you can do, some of you might not know how to do it at all. If you want to learn how to appraise in Fisch, begin by visiting the starter Moosewood island, specifically at these coordinates: X= 444, Y= 150, Z= 213. Here, you will find the Appraiser NPC sitting with a magnifying glass beside the Merchant’s store.
Once there, simply walk up to the NPC and select the “Can you appraise this fish?” Once selected, the NPC will appraise the fish for just 450$C. However, this amount can get reduced to just 338 cash if you buy the appraiser’s luck game pass. With that said, here are the following alternatives that can occur once you click on the first dialogue:
- Your fish’s weight is depressed (reduced) by X kg
- Your fish’s weight gets appraised (increased) by X kg
- Your fish is now mutated with a certain mutation
That’s all you must do. Go ahead and appraise any of your fish in the game. Once done, you’ll notice that appraised fishes and items carry a small green dot at the bottom left corner. Here, X can be any weight. Depending on that, your fish or item can get a Big or Giant attribute.
Furthermore, you can appraise its value to receive a new mutation that stays alongside the attribute. Out of all Fisch mutations, the one you get can be random. Combined with both, your fish’s sale value can increase by many folds. Alternatively, if the weight is depressed, its sale value can decrease accordingly.
Fisch Appraisal Mechanics Explained
Fisch Appraisal in itself is a simple game mechanic, but there are certain rules to it and a few tips that might help you get a clearer idea. These are:
- Appraisal only works for fish and similar items caught while fishing, except for Treasure Maps, Nukes, Bait Crates, Rods, and other non-fish items.
- You can appraise the same fish endless times until you’re satisfied
- Enchant Relics can be appraised and given certain mutations, that are later required for unlocking various rods like the Rod of the Depths and the Exalted one.
Best Time to Appraise in Fisch
Although you can appraise literally anytime in the game, certain events increase your chances of getting better mutations and attributes. Here is the list of events that boost the appraisal luck:
- Mutation Surge: Boosts chances of getting mutated fishes by 15%
- Shiny Surge: Boosts chances to get fishes with the Shiny attribute by 3%
- Night of the Fireflies: Boosts chances to get fishes with the Sparkling attribute by 10%
- Moonlit Mirage: Boosts chances to get fishes with the Lunar mutation
However, if you don’t feel like waiting for the timed server events, you can buy the appraiser’s luck gamepass for 399 Robux. This will help reduce the price of appraisals and boost your chances of getting mutated fishes through this process.
