EA FC 26 features a stacked roster of Heroes with new additions planned for the rest of its annual cycle. For the unacquainted, Heroes are rare Ultimate Team cards based around players who’ve earned cult status over the course of their careers. These superstars fell just short of becoming legends, in EA’s books at least, and have been clubbed into a category that sits right below Icons. FC 25’s Heroes lineup was arguably the best in franchise history, with Eden Hazard, Guti, and Maicon being the headliners. On that note, here are all the new and returning EA FC 26 Heroes.
All New EA FC 26 Heroes
Eight new Heroes are coming to EA FC 26. Check out the players and their ratings below:

|---|---|---|
| Louisa Necib | France | 88 |
| Simone Laudehr | Germany | 88 |
| Michel Salgado | Spain | 87 |
| Ivan Zamorano | Chile | 87 |
| Jill Scott | England | 85 |

Before we get into the players, EA have confirmed that new Heroes will arrive through FUT Campaigns across the annual cycle, starting in Season 2. This could mean that they’ll be made available through Season Pass rewards, or simply as promo players available via packs. Furthermore, one of these three Bayern Munich Heroes will also join FUT as part of a campaign:
- Stefan Effenberg
- Claudio Pizarro
- Giovane Elber
As for the rest, we’ve got some interesting names in FC 26’s Heroes lineup, starting with French sensation, Louisa Necib, who picked 18 titles during her nine-year term at Lyon. Joining her is Simone Laudehr, best known for scoring a FIFA World Cup-winning goal in 2007, and for helping guide Frankfurt to the UWCL in 2015.
Los Blancos stalwart, Michel Salgado, also makes the cut, alongside another Real Madrid cult hero in Ivan Zamorano. The Chilean legend completed almost a century of goals in Spain before joining the likes of Ronaldo, Roberto Baggio, and Javier Zanetti at Inter Milan, winning a UEFA Cup in the process.
Further down the list, we’ve got a household name in Jill Scott, who was part of the Euros-winning England side from three years ago. She’s turned into a respected pundit following her retirement, and you can catch her on the panel of ‘The Overlap’ every week.
Rounding out the list is the ultimate journeyman in Ricardo Quaresma, who, despite playing for many top clubs, is best known for his mesmeric trivela. In complete contrast is another new Hero in Daniele De Rossi, who’s known for being a loyal one-club man, having spent 18 years (19 if you count the managerial stint) at Roma.

Will Heroes Receive an Upgrade in EA FC 26?
No, Heroes will not receive an upgrade in FC 26. The ratings upgrades you’re thinking of are linked to pre-order bonuses, just like EA FC 25’s Origin and Prime Hero cards. However, the same treatment was handed to Icons in FC 26, and with the pre-order bonus window long gone, we can safely rule out the possibility of upgradeable Heroes.
Of course, we’ll still see enhanced versions of these cards released as part of promos throughout the year. EA will also drop EVOs that will let you upgrade eligible base Heroes, but an automatic ratings upgrade for base cards doesn’t seem to be on the cards.
And that wraps up our guide on all the EA FC 26 Heroes. What do you make of this year’s selections? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
The highest-rated base Heroes include David Ginola, Jurgen Kohler, Abedi Pele, and Lucio.
New Heroes will be added to Ultimate Team via promos and the Season Pass, starting with Season 2.
There are multiple ways to get Hero items. You can acquire them via packs, purchase them from the transfer market, or complete a dedicated Hero SBC.
