Dune Awakening Sandbike: Pros and Cons

Sandbike is the very first vehicle you will be asked to make in Dune Awakening. You can craft a Sandbike fairly cheaply around the start of the game. However, the Sandbike upgrades can be quite expensive when you move to higher tiers.

The Sandbike will let you move quickly from one place to another, even more so if you fit the vehicle with the boost modules. Furthermore, you can add inventory on your Sandbike, allowing you to carry more items when farming.

• Slower compared to Sandbike
• Requires a ton of materials to craft

The Buggy is the next tier of vehicles in Dune Awakening after Sandbikes, and it is fantastic for farming materials. The inventory of a buggy is massive, allowing you to compress multiple farm runs on a Sandbike into just a couple on a buggy.

The buggy also provides added protection against enemy attacks and gives heat protection from the sun. Although it is not as fast as a Sandbike, the speed of a buggy is more than enough that it doesn’t feel tiring to ride it.

However, building a Buggy is very expensive. You need to farm a ton of materials to craft one, which can be annoying at first. But crafting a buggy is highly rewarding in the long run.

Sandbike vs Buggy: Which is Better in Dune Awakening?

Sandbike and Buggy are important for different playtime phases in Dune Awakening. Getting a sandbike early on will ease your starting experience, especially with the lack of fast travel in Dune Awakening. The Sandbike lets you travel to different areas quickly, provides extra storage space for early farm runs, and it feels extremely cool to ride!

Compared to that, the Buggy is a mid-to-end game vehicle. It provides massive storage space and comes with an inbuilt Cutteray, so you don’t have to exit the vehicle to farm deposits. The Buggy also protects from enemy attacks and heat, making it ideal to ride into hard areas without fearing for your life.

Now, which is better? Overall, the Buggy is clearly the better choice for most of the mid and late game. You would only want a Sandbike in the early game because it can be a nightmare to farm for a buggy without it. However, your first target after getting a Sandbike should be to work towards a Buggy. The Buggy is even more important than an Ornithopter in Dune Awakening, as it lets you farm incredibly fast.
