Secret Keys become a requirement from the very first chapter in Doom: The Dark Ages, hiding valuable items behind locked doors that can only be unlocked with it. Eight chapters in total have a secret key, and each one will help you access areas that are otherwise closed off. But finding these secret keys can be a hassle, especially as it takes your attention away from slaying demons. So, here are all the secret key locations in Doom The Dark Ages, so that you don’t have trouble finding them.
Village of Khalim Secret Key Location (Chapter 1)
In Doom The Dark Ages, the first Secret Key can be found in Chapter 1, Village of Khalim. It is fairly easy to find, simply follow the main story quest points until you reach near the location given below on the map. Take the turn around the corner that heads up the mountain and find the Secret key there.
Siege Part 1 Secret Key Location (Chapter 6)
The next secret key in Doom The Dark Ages can be found in Siege Part 1, chapter 6 in the campaign. This secret key is also fairly easy to find; all you need to do is head to the location on the map below and pick it up. There are no additional puzzles tied to this secret key.
Siege Part 2 Secret Key Location (Chapter 7)
The very next chapter, Siege Part 2, has the next secret key in Doom The Dark Ages. This one is a bit tricky to find. Head up to the second floor following the main story quest. Keep an eye out for a breakable wall near the open balcony. Break through it to find a secret area. Continue down the path until you find a jump booster, which will take you straight to the secret key on the other side. You can use the secret key to find Rubies in Doom The Dark Ages in this chapter.
Ancestral Forge Secret Key Location (Chapter 9)
The next secret key can be found in Chapter 9, Ancestral Forge. This one is also fairly easy to find, simply head to the location given on the map and collect the Secret key from the ground. No extra steps are required to obtain this secret key.
The Forsaken Plains Secret Key Location (Chapter 10)
The Forsaken Plains secret key is the next in line, and it can be seen very near the start of the mission, locked behind a door. To reach it, use the Shield Recall ability to climb the building from the left and then look for a big hole in the ground. Fall down the hole to obtain the secret key of chapter 10 in Doom The Dark Ages.
Sentinel Command Station Secret Key Location (Chapter 12)
The next secret key can be found in Sentinel Command, which is chapter 12 in the game. This one is also a bit difficult to find. You have to go around the room using the small paths and climb up into the ventilators, past the Life Sigil, and then enter the room with the Secret Key. However, you must defeat all the enemies in the room before you can get your hands on the key.
Temple of Lomarith Secret Key Location (Chapter 17)
The secret key in Temple of Lomarith is very easy to find, but is located near the end of Chapter 17. Once you reach the final area where you are supposed to use the key to enter the temple, look for a giant ship on one of the corners of the map and get on it. Defeat the enemies on the ship and head to the door at the end. The door will open automatically after defeating the enemies, and you can pick up the secret key here.
Reckoning Secret Key Location (Chapter 22)
The final secret key in Doom The Dark Ages can be found in the last chapter, Reckoning, or chapter 22 of the Campaign. Here you simply have to follow the main quest until you come across an elevator that takes you up to the main boarding area of Ahzak’s ship. Instead of going forward, look back to find the secret key near the gate.
So, these are all the Secret Keys in Doom The Dark Ages. These keys are very important if you plan to collect everything in the chapter where they are present. Many of the items, like toys, codex, gold, rubies, and Wraithstones, will be locked behind these secret doors, so you must get your hands on the Secret Key first.
