In Deadlock, Holliday relies on a lot of Spirit power, and you must take advantage of it early on. Get the Extra Spirit to increase all your damage. If you get the Extra Charge early, you get more kegs and bounce pads, helping you play more aggressively.
In case the lane is getting hard against the ability damage dealer, get the Hollow Point Ward and Extra Health to save yourself. Enduring Spirit and Extra Stamina early on will help you stay in the lane longer. If it is not feeling enough, grab the Healing Rite or Extra Regen as per your comfort.
Best Core/Mid-Game Items

Enchanter’s Barrier gives you spirit resistance and bonus spirit power. This item goes perfectly with an initiator like Holliday. You can also get the Fleetfoot around the same time to have more mobility. Once you have one flex slot unlocked as Holliday, Mystic Vulnerability is the must-have item for our Deadlock build guide.
Best Late Game Items
3000 Souls | 3000 Souls | 3000 Souls | 3000 Souls | 3000 Souls |
---|---|---|---|---|
To start your late game, upgrade your recharge and spirit items. Improved Spirit will increase your ability damage as it gives raw spirit power. On the other hand, Rapid Recharge will add more kegs and jump pads to your arsenal.
If the enemy team is hard to deal with, you can go for more sustain first. For this, Warp Stone and Superior Stamina are ideal. These items will help you against strong stuns from Dynamo or Infernus. You can also increase your keg damage by imbuing Surge of Power in it.
Holliday Luxury Items
6000 Souls | 3500 Souls | 6000 Souls | 4250 Souls |
---|---|---|---|
Upgrade your Improved Spirit to Boundless Spirit once you have enough farm. This will help you blast off enemies within a few kegs. If you cannot farm enough, you can get Improved Burst first. This will deal a guaranteed bonus damage.
In case you have no flex slots yet to get the burst, go for Crippling Headshot first. You must sell Hollow Point Ward to get it. You will deal more spirit damage with the headshot as it amplifies your spirit power. For more sustain in late-game fights, get Improved Spirit Armor. It will also help you with some additional spirit power.
Holliday Situational Items
4250 Souls | 6000 Souls | 3000 Souls | 1250 Souls |
---|---|---|---|
Having a hard time against enemy heroes like Wraith or Haze? In such cases, you must get the Improved Bullet Armor first. This will increase your survivability. Although Holliday does not need a lot of ground-level fights, having an additional layer of defense will let you deal with even more impact.
If you are playing more discretely, Veil Walker is a great late item. It not only helps you go invisible but also gives a massive bullet and spirit shield, thus giving more sustainability. Get Knockdown against heroes like Vindicta or Grey Talon. In the early game, you can also get a Restorative Locket and keep ganking with a burst self-heal.

Best Holliday Ability Point Order
Despite her Deadlock build guide being based around the kegs and pads, you must start your lane with the Crackshot unlocked. With a level on Crackshot, you will get the headshot bonus to annoy the enemies and get early first-bloods. After that, unlock both Powder Keg and Bounce Pad to combine them with your items.
By the mid to late game, you must have full levels on the keg and pad. With T3 on your pad, you will get a guaranteed 1+ seconds of stun, which can be strong against any team comp. This will help you get a perfect lasso into an instant shutdown of the enemy carry. With more levels on the Powder Keg early, you can use the pad, keg, and Cold Front combo to melt enemies easily.
