- Nikola Tesla can be summoned at the Tesla Lab in Dead Rails between 10-30km or 50-60km away.
- To perform the summoning ritual, you must collect all body parts, place them on the table, and turn on the lever in the right room in the lab.
- Defeating all the zombies after the ritual will grant you the Electrocutioner Gun, which you can use to beat Nikola Tesla, who spawns at the end of the journey.
Dead Rails features some horrific enemies in the game that will surely make your heart skip a beat. The most crucial and strongest among all of them is Nikola Tesla, the only boss in Dead Rails right now. A disastrous combination of a werewolf body and a pickled head, this tall beast is scary to deal with. However, to beat him, you must first summon him. Learn all that and more as we detail how to summon and beat Nikola Tesla in Dead Rails here.
How to Summon Nikola Tesla in Dead Rails

Nikola Tesla can only be summoned at the Tesla Lab in Dead Rails. The Tesla Lab is a huge warehouse-like structure with a tall Tesla tower rising from the center. You’ll find this structure anywhere between the 10,000-30,000 meters mark, or the 50,000-60,000 mark once you start your journey through the barren lands. With that said, follow the steps below to learn how to summon Nikola Tesla in Dead Rails:
1. Collect All Materials to Summon Nikola Tesla
As you locate this red-brick house, stop the train and enter. However, we do recommend you only enter the Tesla Lab during the day to avoid the night monsters.
Once inside, equip the sack and collect six Nikola Tesla body parts. These will be scattered across the entire building. During my journey, I found the limbs and other body parts in the following places:
- Werewolf Torso: Beside the Tesla Coil in the left room
- Right Werewolf Leg: Behind the storage boxes in the left room
- Left Werewolf Leg: Near the table at the entrance, in the central room
- Right Werewolf Arm: On top of a table at the back of the central room
- Brain in a Jar: On the tabletop in the right room
- Left Werewolf Arm: Behind the huge switch in the right room
2. Perform the Ritual and Defeat the Zombies
Having stored all six body parts in your sack, come back to the central room in front of the huge table, and follow the steps below:
- Take the parts from your sack and place them on the table, dragging and dropping them individually.
- Head back to the room on the right-hand side and switch on the lever.
- This will make the huge white circuit above Nikola Tesla’s body emit electric sparks.

Although the scene might seem familiar to reanimating Frankenstein, don’t get too engrossed. This is because a whole bunch of Scientist zombies will start appearing out of nowhere at the entrance of the Tesla Lab. So, ensure you are equipped with the best Dead Rails weapons, like a Rifle, to deal with them.
Consider using Snake Oil to boost your speed and health to match that of the new monsters. Once the battle is over, you’ll be rewarded with an Electrocutioner Gun, and Nikola Tesla’s body will disappear. But where did he go?
Now, Nikola Tesla will spawn in the Outlaw’s Town at the end of the journey, which appears after 80,000 meters.
How to Beat Nikola Tesla in Dead Rails
Nikola Tesla has the highest health points in the game, 5000 HP, and therefore, ordinary guns and swords would be of little use while fighting this boss. Consequently, you will need the Electrocutioner Gun, which you will receive once you have defeated all the Scientist zombies.
Do note that there is no way to buy additional ammo for this gun because it runs on lightning. Hence, the only way to reload this gun is by lightning. You can achieve this by using lightning rods, lightning on Holy Water from the Crucifix, or, finally, by using the High Roller class.

Therefore, the recommended strategy to defeat Nikola Tesla once it spawns is to hold a lightning rod in your hand while a thunderstorm is active in the game. Now, use the Electrocutioner Gun to aim at its head and fire. This will maximize the damage and help beat him quickly.
Finally, you must equip yourself with full body armor, since even a single hit from Tesla can reduce half of your health, even when your armor is on. Make sure you climb up to the highest spot on top of the wall and fire your gun from there to hit the Tesla effectively.
Having friends while beating Tesla is even better, as even if you die, you can win if your friends do too. Once you defeat Tesla, you can use the Strange Mask to turn him into an ally to defeat the last of the enemies.
That’s how you can beat Nikola Tesla with ease in Dead Rails. All you require is a good strategy and the Electrocutioner gun, and victory is yours. So, have you defeated this boss yet? Let us know in the comments below!
