In Short
  • To fly in Crimson Desert, players have to unlock the Flight skill first in the game.
  • Flight skill can be unlocked by completing the main quest 'Woman in White' in Hernand.
  • Other than the flight skill, players can fly in Crimson Desert using mounts or air transportation vehicles.

Crimson Desert has a massive map, and the best way to travel and explore is by flying. There are many different ways you can fly in Crimson Desert, but none of those are available at the start of the game. Players have to unlock flying first so that they can use it at any moment while in mid-air. Here is a quick guide on how to fly in Crimson Desert.

How to Unlock Flight in Crimson Desert

Flying seems to be the easiest way to traverse the massive Crimson Desert map. Pywel is a land filled with stuff to do, and exploring it properly requires a ton of moving around. So, the earlier you can unlock flying in Crimson Desert, the better.

To unlock Flight, you have to unlock the specific Crimson Desert skill. The Flight skill is part of the Red or Health section of the skill tree, and you can unlock it by completing the Woman in White main quest. After you unlock this skill, you can enhance it by using the Abyss Artifact from the skill tree menu.

The Flight skill allows players to glide when in midair. Gliding consumes stamina, and when the stamina is fully depleted, players won’t be able to glide anymore and fall straight down.

Other Ways to Fly in Crimson Desert

Other than the Flight skill in Crimson Desert, there are a few other ways to fly in Crimson Desert. These include mounts or using aerial transportation. Here is a list of all the other ways you can fly in Crimson Desert:

  • Wyvern mount
  • Dwarven Mech
  • Jetpack
  • Hot Air Balloon

Wyvern

One of the coolest ways to fly in Crimson Desert is using the Wyvern mount. This is also one of the best mounts in the game and not only lets you traverse great distances but also provides a massive advantage in combat. The wyvern can be used to sweep down on enemies and breathe fire on them to deal really serious damage. However, it’s a mid-to-end game mount, so you will need to play a lot before you can unlock it.

Dwarven Mech

The dwarven mech is another incredible mount in Crimson Desert that gives devastating combat potential to players. But alongside shooting five different projectiles, the dwarven mech can also fly briefly using thrusters. Although it is not the fastest way to fly in Crimson Desert, it is still incredibly cool to do it.

Jetpack

Crimson Desert has Jetpacks. Yes! Who would have thought that the game would actually have a Jetpack? But it was revealed in the final launch trailer, making it another way one can fly in the game. Although a land where flying mechs is a thing, it isn’t too hard to believe jetpacks exist as well.

Hot Air Balloon

Crimson Desert also has air vehicles, like the hot air balloon. One of the trailers shows Kliff riding a hot air balloon, making it one of the ways you can fly from one place to another in the game. Whether you get to control it or if it takes you to a fixed location is yet unclear, but the game will likely let you control the direction.

There might be more ways to fly in Crimson Desert. If we find more ways, we will make sure to update them here. Also, instead of flying, there are other great ways to travel in Pywel, like using Crimson Desert mounts that travel on land, wagons, or using Crimson Desert fast travel points.

So, this is how you can unlock flying in Crimson Desert, and other ways you can fly in the game. Have more questions? Let us know in the comments below.
