- The first bell can be found right behind Instructor Guangzhi and you should ring the bell after you clear him out.
- The second bell in the game can be discovered along the stairway right beside the Guangmou mini-boss.
- The final third bell can be located if you follow the alleyway to your left after defeating the Whiteclad Noble boss.
Black Myth: Wukong features many secret locations where bosses wait patiently to thwart you. These locations are available right from the start of the game and can be easily missed during your adventures. Thus, if you have encountered mysterious bells and are curious, keep reading as we tell you all about their locations and what they do in Black Myth Wukong.
The Three Bells quest is an optional secret quest in the first place. It is very simple to finish as you need to ring the three bells that can be found in different locations in Chapter 1. That said, here are the locations of each bell:
1. Bell 1
Nearby Keeper’s Shrine: Outside the Forest, Forest of Wolves
The first bell is very easy to find, as you will eventually meet the Instructor Guangzhi mini-boss during your playthrough. The first bell is located right behind him, so you must defeat him first. Then ring bell 1, which will mark the beginning of a secret quest.
2. Bell 2
Nearby Keeper’s Shrine: Snake Trail, Bamboo Grove
Similar to what we did before, you can discover the second bell by following the steps behind the Guangmou boss on a set of stairs to the right. You can easily get lost in this forest but you wouldn’t miss fighting this mini-boss for sure. Thus, make sure to defeat him swiftly first and then resume your journey to ring the bell no. 2 in chapter 1 of Black Myth Wukong.
3. Bell 3
Nearby Keeper’s Shrine: Marsh of White Mist, Bamboo Grove
You will go head-to-head against the Whiteclad Noble boss in due course in Chapter 1. After you successfully win against him, this boss would hint at the Three Bells quest by asking, “The three bells—have you seen them all?”
All you need to do is follow the alleyway on your left, and you will find the third bell there, surrounded by small enemies. You can clear them out easily and ring the last bell to enter the last phase of the Black Myth Wukong secret quest.
What Happens When You Ring the Three Bells?
After you successfully ring all three bells, you will be taken back to Ancient Guanyin Temple, where you fought the Wolf Demon before. But this time, the atmosphere changes to an eerie tone as you are going to fight a secret boss called the Elder Jinchi. Defeating him renders many rewards so make sure you check out our linked guide.
