As much as I am a sucker for shooting and exploration games, I can’t deny a good vampire title too. Even though the PS5 doesn’t have a wide variety, it still packs some of the best vampire games on it. 1. V Rising

I begin my best vampire games list for the PS5 with a fun yet challenging ARPG title. V Rising puts you in the fangs of well, a vampire who awakens from his slumber. Out in the town and thirsty for blood, you roam nearby settlements and look for victims. However, like classic vampire lore, you hate the sun and must avoid it at all costs.
However, this top-down game also doubles up as a builder as the player must also raise their castle to get it back to its glory. Besides the hunger, V Rising packs rich gameplay with its spell casting and detailed inventory. If you’re looking for a game that packs monsters and variety, V Rising is definitely one of the best vampire games to play on the PS5.
2. The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
Even though Dark Pictures is more of a cinematic adventure than a full-playing one, it’s still an amazing experience. This survival horror game focuses on a multilinear plot with a lot of importance on decisions. So instead of following a single line, every decision you make will affect the overall story. This also means that can characters can permanently die.
True to its name, House of Ashes focuses on five characters who find themselves trapped in an ancient temple. Besides all the dust, however, there lie vampiric creatures that are hell-bent on eliminating everyone. House of Ashes is packed with Quick Time Events, interactive camera systems, and multiple difficulty levels. So if you’re looking for one of the best vampire games on PS5 that also packs rich lore, check this one out.
3. Vampyr
The story of Vampyr takes place in 1918 London. You are Dr. Jonathan Reid tasked with ridding the city of the flu that has devastated it. However, within you lies a dark secret. Dr. Reid is also secretly a vampire, cursed to feed on the ones he heals. This ARPG game is an intricate mix of combat, dialogue choices, and a gripping story.
As Dr. Reid, you must carefully study the citizens under your care to consume their blood. This is made difficult by the fact that they have their own routines and thoughts. The killings have an impact on the story and the open world in general. What’s more is that that Vampyr has four different endings which makes it all the more fun. Try out what I consider one of the best vampire games for PS5.
4. Evil West
Want a bit of the Wild West combined with vampires? Well, then Evil West comes as one of the best vampire games on the PS5 that tries this formula. This third-person shooter has you assume control of Jessie Rentier, a vampire hunter. In a typical Wild West fashion, Jessie is armed with a plethora of weapons including a classic six-shooter meant to hunt the blood-sucking kind.
However, Evil West’s gameplay also benefits from classic melee combat including a gauntlet that can send enemies flying away. Players can also use the environment to their advantage including different traps.
While some players might find the visuals a bit dated, I personally think it is a vampire game on PS5 worth trying and enjoying.
5. Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong
While you might play as a vampire hunter in Evil West, Swansong makes you the threat itself. Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong gives us three different vampires who are over 100 years old to play as. However, instead of high-octane action, this narrative RPG interlinks a heavy story set on the heels of Boston.
As such, every choice you make in Swansong holds weight. Players must carefully navigate their dialogues and encounters to create a balance between their human and vampire personas. Detroit Become Human veterans already know what I’m talking about. So if you’re into narrative adventures but still want a taste of blood, this is one of the best vampire games on PS5.
6. CODE VEIN
While some of you might not consider Code Vein a vampire game for PS5, it comes with a twist. In this game’s world, Revenants are creatures with supernatural vampire-like abilities that arose from botched experiments. How are they vampires? Well, because Revenants require blood to survive.
Code Vein’s combat follows an RPG vertical where the Revenants come packed with multiple abilities and weapons. Truth be told, the combat does get intense and nail-biting. Code Vein’s main goal is for you to decide whether you give into your bloodlust or escape the hell that you are yourself. 7. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
I end my list of the best vampire games for PS5 with a side-scrolling RPG set in 19th-century England. We play as Miriam, a person cursed by an alchemist who must now find her way back to freedom by escaping the castle and defeating enemies in the process.
I’ll be honest when I say that Bloodstained’s side combat wasn’t the best part for me. As someone used to first person, it took some getting used to. Nonetheless, if you like the classic RPG bend gameplay coupled with nice lighthearted enemies, Ritual of the Night is the one for you.
