Apex Legends last received a new map with the release of Broken Moon in Season 15, which went live in November 2023. Respawn Entertainment has since only updated its maps with some minor changes, even though we received new map teasers a couple of seasons back. Well, the drought has now finally ended with the addition of ‘E-District’ to the map pool in Apex Legends Season 22.
The Apex Legends are headed to Suotamo or as it is now officially called E-District. This location was once home to our beloved characters Crypto and Caustic. But with Suatamo losing power due to the storm that raged on Storm Point, riots breaking out in the central “Energy Bank” POI, and Alter wreaking havoc at the “Humbert Labs” POI, the civilians evacuated and the map was converted into an Apex Games playground.
E-District, as you can see in the image above, is a neon post-cyberpunk-ish map that is inspired by the planet Angelia. That’s why when you drop onto this map, you will notice that distinct Titanfall “Angel City” vibe in certain locations. The north and south of the map POI designs are different visually to reflect the disparity between the upper and working classes.
This is the sixth map in Apex Legends, which World Director Eduardo Agostini alluded to as the most densely packed map to date in the game. There is a ton of verticality, with scope for roof-to-roof combat, close-quarters combat, and a lot more playstyles unlocked on this map. Moreover, E-District not only includes Jump Towers but also smaller grav launchers in certain POIs.
List of All POIs on Apex Legends E-District
The E-District is making its Apex Legends debut with a total of 17 POIs (points of interest), some of which you can check out in the gallery below. Here is a complete list of POIs on the E-District Apex Legends map in Season 22:
- Resort
- The Lotus
- Electro Dam
- City Hall
- Galleria
- Heights
- Broadwalk
- Blossom Drive
- Neon Square
- Energy Bank
- Street Market
- Viaduct
- Shipyard Arcade
- Draft Point
- Old Town
- Stadium (Neon Oval Raceway)
- Humbert Labs
In my time on the E-District map during the playtest, I can tell you that it will take some time to get used to. It’s not the same as the Broken Moon or Olympus map and has a ton of high-rise buildings and rooftop locations that will make for interesting plays, especially with movement legends and all-new grav launchers.
Moreover, the darker cyberpunk vibe of the map had me sitting on rooftops and glancing around to soak in the neon glow. The Arcade, Old Town, Street Market, and the Lotus resort were some of my favorite POIs to land at. Once you’ve tried out E-District, do tell me your favorite POIs down in the comments section.
