Paytm is not just a mobile wallet and has added a number of services to the platform which allows users to book everything from movie ticket to flight tickets. While Paytm already offers a bus ticketing service on the platform, it has now partnered with the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) to enable ticket bookings for APSRTC’s 3,276 services and 1,250 routes.

According to a recent report from ToI, Paytm has partnered with ten state road transport corporations so far and hopes to finalize a similar deal with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) soon. Talking about the partnership, Abhishek Ranjan, VP Paytm, was quoted saying:

“We are glad to partner with APSRTC and make their complete bus inventory accessible to Paytm’s strong 300- Mn user base. We have received an overwhelming response from customers and are already driving a significant volume of booking for APSRTC’s services…We will continue to partner with more state-run and private bus operators across the region to make life simpler for travelers across Andhra Pradesh”.

The company currently providers intrastate services to its customers, but plans to provide interstate services on the platform as well. Late last month, the company introduced a new offline payments solution called ‘Tap Card‘ for users who don’t use the internet as often, but are looking for an alternate digital mode of payment.
