Spangram Answer for NYT Strands on May 21
The Spangram for today’s NYT Strands puzzle is MENUITEMS, and it runs from top to bottom on the letters grid.
Apart from the Spangram, you need to find 7 theme words in today’s puzzle. However, if you are having a tough time getting through the Strands, check out some tips and tricks in my guide on how to play NYT Strands.

List of Theme Words for NYT Strands on May 21
If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
- HELP
- WINDOW
- TOOLS
- HISTORY
- FAVORITES
- FILE
- EDIT
The theme today was pretty misleading, and it took me quite some time to wrap my head around it. I accidentally stumbled upon HELP in the middle and WINDOW at the top left. Even then, those wheels weren’t turning and I was on the verge of using up a hint. However, right then, I found FILE and EDIT at the bottom right and knew what it was about.
The theme does not talk about an actual bar, but rather, the bar of your internet browser. With that in mind, finding the other words became a lot easier. I instantly found HISTORY and FAVORITES. Then, found TOOLS at the top right. That led me to uncover MENUITEMS as the Spangram for the day. Phew, that was a close call, and I didn’t have to use a hint.
