lenovo smart portfolio india launch

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Lenovo has today debuted its smart home portfolio in India, bringing a bunch of its connected devices to the country. This, Lenovo says, is “in line with its vision of driving intelligent transformation and ushering in an era of smart living.”

The company has launched two smart devices: the Lenovo Smart Alarm Clock, and the Lenovo Smart Display.

Lenovo Smart Alarm Clock

The Lenovo Smart Alarm Clock is designed to be a bedside smart clock for users in the country, offering voice and touch control on a small, 4-inch IPS LCD display. The Smart Alarm Clock comes with the Google Assistant built-in, so it can surface requested information for you right when you need it.

There’s also a 6W speaker here that Lenovo claims can “fill up a large bedroom with the choice of music, audiobooks, podcasts and radio.”

The Lenovo Smart Display has been priced at Rs. 5,999, and will be available across Lenovo stores and with leading retailers and e-commerce websites in the country.

Lenovo Smart Display

On the other hand, the company has also launched the Lenovo Smart Display in India. The Smart Display comes with a 10-inch display, and can do everything you’d expect a display touting smart speaker to be able to do. It can help you take a quick look at your day, show you step-by-step recipes, and play YouTube videos.

Obviously, the Lenovo Smart Display will let users control their compatible smart home devices thanks to the fact that Google Assistant is built into this speaker, so any devices that work with the Google Home, Home Mini, or the newly launched Nest Hub, will also work with the Lenovo Smart Display.

The Lenovo Smart Display is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will also be available across Lenovo stores and with leading retailers and e-commerce websites in the country from early September.
