How to Get Dave Rod in Fisch

The Dave Rod is one of the most unusual fishing rods in Fisch. It has some interesting stats, including extremely high control and negative luck and resilience. Unlike many other rods, you cannot buy it directly from the shop. In this guide, we will tell you how to get Dave Rod in Fisch.

Where to Find Dave NPC in Fisch

First, you need to find Dave, a secret NPC located on top of the Arch, which is in the middle of the ocean at these coordinates: (1078, 306, -124) on the Fisch map. Follow these steps to find him:

• Start from Moosewood.
• Spawn your boat and sail towards the northwest.
• You will see a large arch-shaped stone structure.
• Climb on top and talk to Dave.

Climbing on the arch could be a little difficult, so we recommend you use a Velocity or Gravity coil to make the climb easier.

Interact with Dave to start the questline. If you are below level 250, he won’t talk to you, so make sure you level up fast in Fisch and try again.

All Fisch Dave Rod Quests and Requirements

Dave gives you three quests that you must complete one after another. Here are all the quests that you need to complete in order to get the rod.

Get a Boulder

The first quest requires you to catch one Boulder in Fisch. It is categorized as a fish that you can only catch in Keeper’s Altar and has a very low catch chance of 1 in 1,000,000.

Head to the Statue of Sovereignty, enter the Mines, and start fishing in the Keeper’s Altar until you catch a Boulder. Since it is extremely rare, you can use rods such as the Onirifalx Rod, Astraeus Serenade Rod, Ruinous Oath Rod, or Wind Elemental Rod to improve your chances.

Get 250 Rocks

Once you have the Boulder, head back to Dave, and this time, he will ask you to collect 250 rocks. Unlike Boulder, Rock is a trash item that you can catch in almost any water body. You can fish at Sunstone Island or Sanctum, as these locations can be useful for catching regionless items.

You can also equip a rod with negative Luck, such as the Training Rod, and use Magnet Bait to improve your chances of getting Rocks.

Once you catch 250, return to Dave to proceed.
