Crafting is one of the main actions in LEGO Fortnite that keeps you hooked into the loop of getting new ingredients and upgrading items. However, one of the major roadblocks comes when you need items that are not easily available. Knotroot is one such item that’s a must-have, but it can be a rare find in the game’s early stages. How to Find Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite

To find and collect knotroot logs, you will need to follow the steps below. To find knotroots in the game, you will first need to find caves. Once you find the caves in LEGO Fortnite, you will find the knotroots hanging from walls and ceilings.

Caves are mostly located in rocky hill areas. However, we cannot confirm exact cave locations as they are randomly generated in different seeds. You will have to explore the world to locate caves.

Furthermore, we recommend you explore the full cave to gather as much knotroot as possible. For example, on our first expedition to the caves, we collected over 160 knotroots. So, exploring is the best way to find caves and collect knotroots in LEGO Fortnite.

Caves also seem to respawn knotroots after some time, which means you can revisit the same cave after a couple of in-game nights. You will also find marble in LEGO Fortnite’s caves.

Make Uncommon Forest Axe to Farm Knotroot

Now that you have found a cave to explore, you will need an Uncommon Forest Axe to break the knotroots. A common forest axe won’t do the trick.

To make an Uncommon Forest Axe, you will need 3 bones and 3 wooden rods in LEGO Fortnite. You can get bones by killing skeletons. To get a wooden rod, you will need a Lumber Mill.

Once you build a Lumber Mill, you can then put wood in it to get the wooden rod. One wood gives you one wooden rod. You can click the + button using the mouse click on your PC or the Dpad on your console to increase the amount of wood. Once the processing is done, grab the wooden rod by pressing the W button on the PC (Y on Xbox and Triangle on PS).

Once you have enough resources, open the crafting bench, select the Uncommon Forest Axe, and click the Craft button at the bottom right (F key on PC, X on Xbox, Square on PS, and Y button on Nintendo). Grab as many Uncommon Forest Axe before venturing out to collect knotroots. We would suggest carrying at least three forest axe due to their rather low durability.

Knotroot unlocks a lot of new recipes and upgrade options once you collect them. Once you gather knotroots, you can put them in the Lumber Mill to get knotroot rods. The Knotroot rods will help you craft the Uncommon Pickaxe and Longsword.

The Uncommon Pickaxe will help you collect marble in LEGO Fortnite whereas the longsword is going to help you deal huge damage against enemies stronger than wolfs and spiders. In addition, you will also need knotroot to upgrade your village to Level 4.
