GTA 6 Trailer 1 Easter Eggs
The first reveal trailer introduced GTA 6 Leonida locations through a barrage of wild social media clips and viral Florida moments. Rockstar packed these opening frames with real-world parodies and subtle callbacks to classic entries across the franchise.
Dual-Hammer Lady
The reveal trailer featured an angry older woman dual-wielding hammers and shouting, “Look who’s back.” This scene directly parodies a viral 2020 video where a Chatsworth, Los Angeles woman smashed a neighbor’s car.
Florida Joker (Lawrence Sullivan)
A tattooed mugshot shown on the in-game news broadcast spoofs viral Miami arrestee Lawrence Sullivan, the “Florida Joker.” The character sports purple hair and facial tattoos that closely mirror Sullivan’s infamous 2017 mugshot.
Convenience Store Alligator
Security footage played in the trailer shows a massive alligator casually walking through the automatic doors of a local convenience store. This moment references real-life viral news clips of Florida alligators wandering into gas stations and residential businesses.
Petty Forever (Tom Petty Tribute)
On the Uncle Jack’s liquor store door, a sticker reads “Petty Forever” in the classic NASCAR logo colors. This pays homage to Gainesville, Florida rock legend Tom Petty, whose song “Love Is a Long Road” scored Trailer 1. It is the first official track in the ever-expanding GTA 6 soundtrack.
GTA 6 Trailer 2 Easter Eggs
The GTA 6 Trailer 2 shifted focus toward protagonist Jason Duval and his criminal partnership with Lucia Caminos. At the same time, Rockstar revealed more gameplay screenshots on the official website. Here are the easter eggs from the trailer 2 of GTA 6:
Jason Fixing Leaks or Rockstar?
Well, how ironic! Isn’t it? The second trailer opens with Jason Duval, one of the main protagonists, fixing a roof in his safehouse of Leonida Keys in GTA 6. When the grumpy landlord asks what he’s doing, Jason replies, “Just fixing some leaks.”
It’s hard not to see that as a cheeky nod to the wave of GTA 6 leaks Rockstar has dealt with over the years. Given the surprise trailer drop, it feels like a playful jab at the whole situation.
Ammu-Nation is Back in GTA 6
Fans who want to grab their GTA 6 weapons: nothing screams firepower like the iconic Ammu-Nation. Trailer 2 sneaks in a quick easter egg confirming its return in GTA 6—and yes, it’s easy to miss. But look closer, and you’ll spot two more interesting details tucked into that same frame.
Phil Cassidy Returns
One of the wildest moments for longtime fans is an interesting cameo that resembles Phil Cassidy from the 3D-era GTA games. He pops up in a TV commercial for a gun store, missing arm and all, just like in GTA Vice City.
Now, technically, the 3D and HD universes are separate, so this scene in the GTA 6 trailer 2 could be a cheeky Easter egg or a full-on reimagining. Whether it’s really that Phil or just a nod, Rockstar knows exactly how to stir up the lore nerds.
Rockstar Puts PS5 Easter Egg in GTA 6
Told you that one frame in GTA 6 trailer 2 was packed—and here’s the third Easter egg you probably missed. Alongside the Ammu-Nation sign and Phil Cassidy commercial, there’s a PS5 console and DualSense controller casually sitting on the left side.
Another contributing factor is the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix and the Launch Trailer, which were purely captured on a base PlayStation 5.
So, it’s pretty clear which console the studio is leaning towards to go so far as to put it in the game itself. It’s not a direct copy of it, obviously, but it’s close enough.
Leonida is Not The Only State?
The GTA 6 map is finally starting to take shape with all the new official details. But one Rockstar screenshot from the second trailer drops something intriguing. In one frame, we can see a reference to a state called Gloriana.
Could this be Rockstar’s take on Georgia? Or maybe even California? Either way, it hints that Leonida might not be the only place we’ll explore.
Rockstar Tributes The Original Vice City Protagonist
In another screenshot, Jason in GTA 6 is spotted wearing a palm tree shirt while standing right across from the iconic Ocean View Hotel. This is a clear nod to Tommy Vercetti’s time in GTA: Vice City.
Rockstar’s honoring the past in the coolest little ways, further including Tommy Vercetti’s iconic palm tree pattern in weapons with the GTA 6 Vintage Vice City Pack, included as a pre-order bonus. I love a well-placed Easter egg like this!
Pets? And Dress?
Who wouldn’t want a pet in a GTA game? Life in the criminal underworld could definitely use some furry (or scaly) companionship. In one of the official screenshots during the GTA 6 Trailer 2 reveal, a character is rocking a pet Iguana on their shoulder, decked out with a crown and stylish outfit, no less.
Later in the Extended Look, GTA 6 pets were pretty much confirmed. If pets are customizable now, I’m already dreaming of a backyard gator in a gold chain.
Mini-Games are Coming Back in GTA 6
In that same screenshot, we also spot Jason playing snooker. It suggests Rockstar might be bringing back mini-games in GTA 6, something fans have been hoping for. It looks like downtime activities are making a return. And honestly, it’s about time.
Lucia’s Golden Dress Returns
Remember the first GTA 6 trailer? Most of it focused on Lucia in GTA 6, and in one standout frame, she was wearing a golden dress. Well, Rockstar brings that dress back in a small GTA 6 trailer 2 easter egg.
However, this time, the scene gets a little zestier. It’s a clever callback with a cheeky twist that fans won’t miss.
GTA 6 Cover Art Easter Eggs
The official GTA 6 box art continues Rockstar’s iconic mosaic design in GTA games’ cover art while paying heavy tribute to 2002’s Vice City. Every panel features subtle visual callbacks to franchise history, returning vehicles, and classic characters. Below is a list of all GTA 6 cover art easter eggs.
The Mysterious Cover Girl
The GTA 6 cover art is an ultimate throwback to the GTA: Vice City cover art. If you have been a GTA fan for a long time, then you know that a mysterious girl always takes a spot in one of the tiles in the cover art.
This time, another femme fatale beauty occupies the same tile as the bikini girl (twin) in GTA Vice City’s cover art. Let’s not forget the iconic red bikini girl from GTA 5’s cover art!
Rockstar continues the tradition of keeping a mysterious woman as a cover girl in GTA box art. There is another cool easter egg related to the unidentified GTA 6 cover girl, which we’ve discussed below.
The Thaw Brand Returns
If you observe closely, the unnamed bikini girl in GTA 6’s cover art holds a ‘Thaw’ can. In case you didn’t know, the in-game alcoholic beverage brand, Thaw, was inspired by the White Claw, a real-life company that sells hard seltzers and spiked beverages.
A Thaw can art was first spotted on the door of Uncle Jack’s liquor shop in the first trailer of GTA 6. Now, it has become a full circle moment where we get to see the can in the hands of a popular NPC.
If you are wondering whether we will be able to purchase the Thaw beverages in the game? We will have to wait and find out.
The Traditional Helicopter
Since the upcoming game is also set in Vice City, the new cover art pays multiple homages to GTA: Vice City. Since GTA 3, every cover art of GTA includes a helicopter in the top-left panel. The most recent Grand Theft Auto 6 cover art features a Sea Sparrow, and we don’t know who the pilot is at the moment.
This single-rotor amphibious helicopter has appeared in GTA titles, including Vice City, San Andreas, Vice City Stories, and even GTA Online. So, there is no denying that we may be able to take a trip around Leonida in the Sea Sparrow in the future.
Principe Alvino V1 Reappears
Remember the screenshot of Jason sitting on a new green bike, which was released some time ago? Now, a new model from the same motorcycle company, Principe Alvino, is clearly seen in the GTA 6 cover art as a small easter egg.
Furthermore, the placement of this motorcycle is once again a throwback to the GTA: Vice City cover art, which also featured a red bike on the top-right tile.
Unlike Jason’s plan-green bike, the new Principe Alvino V1 has a vibrant purple x pink color. And the livery’s design makes it seem like a bike straight out of a motorsports competition.
Hopefully, we can perform a wheelie on a Principe Alvino V1 while speeding past a police car in the game, just like the character in the poster. After all, GTA 6 cars seem pretty accurate to their real-life counterparts.
A Tribute to Lance Vance
Jason and Lucia aren’t the only GTA 6 characters who made it to the cover. Raul Bautista, the veteran bank robber, shows up in a very familiar costume. No GTA fan can ever forget Lance Vance from GTA: Vice City. His betrayal hit too close to home back then.
Now, Raul Bautista dons a white blazer over a dark purple shirt, which is very similar to Lance’s outfit in GTA: Vice City. Is Rockstar foreshadowing that Raul Bautista may betray Jason or Lucia in a life-or-death moment during a heist mission? We will know when GTA 6 finally releases.
It is also worth noting that the Duke assault rifle he carries is manufactured by the same company that makes weapons in the Red Dead Redemption games.
No Actual Car Theft Shown
Despite the franchise name, the GTA 6 box art continues a curious streak by showing zero car thefts. Rockstar has avoided depicting an actual vehicle hijacking on its primary cover art since Grand Theft Auto 2 in 1999.

GTA 6 Extended Look Easter Eggs
Rockstar’s 26-minute Netflix gameplay showcase offered our deepest look yet at Leonida’s dense open world. Alongside heist preparations and street chases, the footage revealed returning GTA Online characters and sharp pop-culture parodies.
Call of Duty: Black Ops? Not Quite
GTA 6 Extended Look begins with Jason and Lucia visiting a rundown building to pick up a package for Boobie Ike. The man who escorts them into the elevator is wearing a Righteous Slaughter: Hood Ops shirt, a parody of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Michael’s son, Jimmy, used to play Righteous Slaughter 7 in GTA 5, so it seems like the fictional series’ Black Ops counterpart has arrived in GTA 6.
Minnie Mouse Easter Egg
The GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix featured a segment where Jason and Lucia are getting dressed up in their apartment to meet Brian and Lori. Before Jason grabs a beer from the fridge, a framed poster of a Minnie Mouse-like character appears in the background. While this alludes to Disney World being in GTA 6, Rockstar has confirmed that the prominent Florida spot will not appear.
Arby’s Easter Egg
Early in the GTA 6 Extended Look, several satirical TV commercials play after Jason explores the apartment, including one for Chacey’s Prairie Sandwich Box Meal. Chacey’s appears to parody Arby’s, and the 30,000-calorie Prairie Sandwich Box Meal features a burger with a cowboy hat and a giant stack of meat as its patty, seemingly making fun of Arby’s secret Meat Mountain sandwich. The Lasso Fries also resemble the fast-food chain’s curly fries, and the resemblance is uncanny.
Big Smoke Easter Egg
Big Smoke is one of the most iconic characters in GTA: San Andreas and the wider series, and he gets a nod in the GTA 6 Extended Look.
During the chase scene where Jason, Lucia, and Raul flee from the cops to prevent further wanted level in GTA 6, players can spot a shop called ‘Big Smoke Cigar Co.’ in the distance as the gameplay shifts to Lucia’s perspective. It’s a little hard to see, and a blink-and-you-miss-it easter egg.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 But Latin
GTA 6’s Extended Look features several brief gameplay clips, including one where one of our protagonists spies on a man wearing a VR headset and making suggestive movements in a room.
However, the highlight of this shot is a ‘Tenebrae Lux’ poster behind him, which translates to darkness and light in Latin. Funnily enough, Clair Obscur translates to light-dark in French, so this might be Rockstar’s in-universe parody of 2025 game of the year, Expedition 33.
Old Hammer Lady From Trailer 1 Is Back
GTA 6’s first trailer featured an old woman NPC wielding hammers and saying, “Look who’s back.” She’s shown again in the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix. First, she appears in a dark room from where Lucia and Jason try to escape.
Later, she appears outside a motel where Jason and Lucia confront her for hitting a nearby car, a scene that wasn’t shown in the first trailer.
Parody of IRL Brands
GTA is the master of parodying real-life brands and companies, and the GTA 6 Extended Look proved that Rockstar’s taking it to the next level. Throughout the 27-minute showcase, we see spoofs of multiple irl brands, including FizzAzz (Fanta), Sprunk (Sprite), Chacey’s (Arby’s), Jester’s (Pringles), Baracoa (Bacardi), and more.
Valentina From GTA Online Returns
Valentina is the only returning character confirmed in GTA 6 so far, having been introduced in GTA Online’s Money Fronts update as Mr. Faber’s client. She’s featured prominently in GTA 6’s Extended Look, hiring Jason and Lucia as private security to protect a Megamundo associate, Andrés de León, and escort him to the company’s first US headquarters for a party.
Telemundo’s GTA 6 Counterpart: Megamundo
If you thought Megamundo from the GTA 6 Extended Look sounded familiar, that’s because it seems to parody the real-life American Spanish-language television network Telemundo. This can be one of the channels also available on the TV and phone apps in GTA 6. We have already seen one broadcast of the network in the first trailer where the Joker’s mugshot was presented.
Megamundo will play a major part in GTA 6’s narrative as both Jason and Lucia are hired as private security for Andrés de León, an associate. Valentina even introduces them to company COO Petra Navarro, who’s then escorted out of the building once the shootout begins.
SeaWorld and Shamu Billboard
During the street chase sequence, the crew drives past a marine park billboard reading, “We Saved Makenzi From The Ocean.” The sign spoofs SeaWorld Orlando and its famous killer whale shows.
GTA 6 Launch Trailer Easter Eggs
Released less than a month ahead of the game’s launch, the final trailer of GTA 6 highlights Jason’s military past and high-stakes heists across Vice City. Frame-by-frame analysis reveals deep-cut references to 1997’s original Grand Theft Auto and classic rock history.
North Fort Law From 1997’s Original GTA
Jason wears an army T-shirt referencing the “U.S. Army Marauders” (nodding to WWII’s Merrill’s Marauders) and “North Fort Law.” North Fort Law is the exact name of a Liberty City military base from the original 1997 Grand Theft Auto.
In that classic 2D-era mission, players infiltrated the base to rescue an informant holding top-secret alien files.
Money for Nothing Riff Homage
The Launch Trailer features an original track called “Flower in a Hurricane” by French House duo Justice. The song features Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard, opening with a riff homage to Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing.” This familiar track adds more iconic musicians to the already amazing GTA 6 artists list.
DacityCoin by AudaCity
A stunt plane flies over Vice Beach towing a promotional banner for a cryptocurrency called “DacityCoin” by AudaCity. The wing-walking stunt satirizes aggressive real-world crypto marketing schemes plastered across Miami stadiums and events.
KFC in GTA 6?
In one of the frames from the launch trailer of GTA 6, we can see Raul holding a fried chicken bucket with the colors of KFC. KFC’s multiple social channels also quoted this detail. Will we see the KFC parody in the game this time?
Rex Specs “Doggles” Reference
During a military helicopter sequence, Jason pets a working canine wearing specialized protective eyewear. This detail references real-world tactical dog goggles manufactured by companies like Rex Specs for active military canines.
