Google has shown us yet again that it’s one of the worst at keeping its upcoming devices a secret. The Pixel 8a leaks have been all over the place, with the first set of leaked images dating back to September last year! Well, unsurprisingly, we have another leak today that confirms the specifications and the Europe price.

The specs sheet posted by popular leaker MysteryLupin on X confirms that the previously leaked specifications were all in line. The Pixel 8a will feature a 6.1-inch 120Hz Actua display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display can reportedly get as bright as 2,000 nits.

The dimensions of the device are 152,1 x 72.7 x 8.9 mm and weighs 188 grams. The phone gets a 4,492 mAh battery with 27W quick charging support. Wireless Qi charging is also supported. There’s also an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and support for face unlock.

As with any Google smartphone, the 8a will gain a few new software tricks like “Magic touch-up,” “Better grip Magic,” and “Visage Net”. While we don’t have any info on the features, more should be revealed in Google I/O 2024. The phone will also feature Magic audio eraser, a feature that was introduced in Pixel 8.

On the performance front, the phone will be powered by the Tensor G3. But rumors point out that it could be an underclocked version, like the A series devices usually do. The storage and RAM types are UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5x, for those wondering.

The specs sheet also mentions that the Pixel 8a will be available in two variants – 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB. Users will also get Google One VPN at no extra cost, and while the specs sheet doesn’t mention it, rumors suggest 7 years of major Android updates.

As for the cameras, the dual rear camera setup consists of a primary 64 MP camera presumably a Samsung sensor, and a 13 MP ultrawide Sony snapper, both with OIS and EIS. The front snapper is also a 13 MP unit. Besides, their phone also has an IP67 rating, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. As for connectivity, the phone will feature Wi-Fi 6E and all the major LTE and 5G bands.

The leaker also shared a Pixel 8a banner suggesting the phone could cost €549 in Europe. The banner’s headline reads “Google Pixel 8a with Google AI” and mentions a €150 exchange bonus when you trade in your old smartphone.

Despite the previous rumors suggesting a sharp price increase due to the specifications closely aligning with the vanilla Pixel 8, recent rumors suggest the Google Pixel 8a could come at the same price as the Pixel 7a in the US, i.e., $499.

The Pixel 8a will be available in a vast number of colorways, including Bay, Lime Green, Obsidian, and Porcelain.
